This is quite worrying but I'll wait for Microsoft to make the announcements.
It is bound to happen with the Xbox Live Video Marketplace because of copyright issues. But wonder how does it affect Malaysian accounts because well, we dont have such a thing as a Malaysian account. |

Will someone tell me what the heck is going on here?
So our accounts even the ones who dont have more than one are going to get shafted? That sucks, cmon Microsoft I would rather have Live than video downloads. the least that they could do is have a small launch here in Malaysia, like what Ninty did, they set up a couple of servers just two would do just fine, we in Malaysia are getting shafted just because Microsoft wants to sell Batman Forever? ha! What really pisses me off when they delete the accounts it means we cannot play on Live no more!!! NO GOW, NO Call of Duty 2 or 3, no more Arcade downloads, no more chats. God almighty having a 360 is no fun without Live. Besides Microsoft claims They wont launch here because of piracy? With no Live piracy will boom because there is no point anymore in buying original is there??? Lets all hope Microsoft does not delete our accounts, but if they do....it was nice knowing you guys on Live. |

I think so..cause malaysia is not even a recognised region for microsoft and putting singapore aint gonna work cause our ip's are not going to be identified with singapore.

QUOTE(edoras81 @ Nov 28 2006, 11:11 AM) Can someone please read this and tell us what to do...this is serious....and i am panicking.... I suppose it just means that your US, UK, or whatever account that is not under the "Asia" region will likely be deleted in the near future. I think, if you're using a Singaporean account, that's fine since it's within Asia.http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_ent...estnews;title;3 |

They're shutting down "fake" accounts, so it depends on what they mean by "fake" here.
I think our accounts, in all fairness shouldn't be affected. The report says they're going for dummy accounts, which I guess means accounts created solely for the purpose of downloading stuff from other regions. So accounts with 0 gamerscores will probably be deleted, as it's obvious that they're created just to download stuff. It'd suck if our accounts get deleted.....we don't have an official Malaysian account, so we have to tumpang on either SG or US accounts. And we are still legitimate....we play original games right...why punish us for something we cannot avoid? |

If they are going by IP, then everyone will be get hit.
Although I believe, they will only delete the US accounts because of the copyright issues. Singapore and Jap accounts might not be affected based on what I am reading. |

Yeah, its kinda unfair but it was bound to happen. Previously, you don't really care because it was just games. But with videos and movies, copyright issues has to be taken more seriously.
Why I think ppl with Singapore accounts wont be affected? We cant download things from Video Live Marketplace anyway... |

From what i read, they are not gona delete subscribed account right? Just gona change their region so they can't download region restrictive copyrighted content? Not deleting them... |
