After reading your comment, I was prepared to be disappointed ... but so far, ok for me. Didn't read their comic, only knew Cloak & Dagger powers from Marvel games. Seems to me, they're not really making an action superhero series here, they're making a teen drama series with superhero elements. I like they turned some expectations ... black guy is the more well-off one, while the white girl is the poor one (again, I dunno their comic stories).

Damn that Season 2 Episode 9 ... while Episode 8 was a slight detour, E9 is back with more revelations ... and Billy, Billy, keep blaming Bobby ...

Didn't watch Legion apart from its Ep.1, but Westworld S2 is disappointing? There are more answers than S1, some which were delightful for turning the table around. Maybe coz of less nudity, dats wai it's disappointing, you mean?

Nudity, not GoT level lah, don't expect too much

And don't know why, maybe for artistic reason, almost whole show is viewed through slightly distorted lens, not so obvious but only the centre is sharp while the edge is like out of focus. I thought my TV is spoilt, but changed to other Netflix show, ok leh.

Japanese series Switched, on Netflix. 6 episodes of 40mins only. Binge worthy, I feel.



First I thought it's like Your Name (君の名は) storyline, but it's more like the heavy drama side of Face/Off + 200 Pounds Beauty. Only a bit of Your Name situation (if you know what I mean). First episode is kinda draggy, but I find myself keep clicking next after Episode 2, until finished 6 in one go. Surprisingly good acting, coz like in Face/Off, the actresses gotta switch personality completely ... she can be really cute in one scene, but giving really cold stare in another. (If Blue Steel is real, she'll kill with that skill).

Maybe not suitable for those feeling suicidal ... it's rate 16+, not for violence (one scene only) or nudity, but for the suicides storylines.
But the moral of the series is ... if can't change personality even though changed into better environment and prettier body, one still won't be happy. On the other hand, a kind soul will still attract people although physically not attractive.

If you don't mind mainly dialogues ... no action.

But imho, not boring coz the story is about the beginning of FBI behavioral science unit ... abnormal criminal psychology.

Binge-watched The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in 2 nights. It's even darker and bloodier than Archie's Riverdale ... like Harry Potter + Supernatural + The Exorcist (I like the homage in one scene; no, not the usual exorcism on bed, before that ... you'll know it when you see it), and even a hint of The Empire Strikes Back (choose light or dark side).

Maybe not so suitable for those really religious ones, coz a lot of praising of Satan / Dark Lord (but in teenage drama seriousness) ... acting-wise, not too bad or cringey except for one or two characters. Only one draggy episode for me ... the rest are binge-worthy, keep continuing one after another. Looking forward to Part 2 (Season 2).

Season 1 and 5 are the best ... haven't watch Season 7.
Season 8 next year will be the last.

I couldn't watch continuously ... felt sleepy during the sleep/nightmare episode

Riverdale is in my list, but only watched few episodes....coz too many other nice shows.

For me, Episode 3 started to get more interesting ...

I love Episode 5 ... the Bent-Neck Lady ...

Episode 6 seems awkward a bit, but ambitious ... trying to shoot the whole episode in few long-takes ... uninterrupted, unedited (but of course, rehearsed) ... can see the actors standing by and still for their turns

Overall, very nice slow paced series...ya, like The Conjuring + This is Us.

I'm a fan of HIMYM, TBBT, B99 too ... except for B99 which I'm still catching up, had watched all episodes of HIMYM and TBBT. Don't intend on starting with Young Sheldon soon, dunno why.

Anyway, other sitcoms/comedy series I've enjoyed ... The Good Place, Rick and Morty, Master of None, GLOW, The Kominsky Method, etc. (ya, most of them are not 20+ episodes per season and are currently on Netflix, tho not all original Netflix shows.)

Gotta wait for Season 2 ... earliest according to the site, is end of 2019. So, not so soon.

I kinda like it ... the scene that made me wanna know the characters more was the dancing scene to the song of "I Think We're Alone Now". Songs are nicely picked and mixed into almost all the episodes ... not really a surprise considering the graphic novel writer Gerard Way is from My Chemical Romance, who is quite involved with the showrunner.

That said, it's not really an action superheroes/mutants series ... it's more about the relationships among dysfunctional family members. More talkings than actions. The supporting time traveling hitmans are nice subplots (complaining about managements, salary deductions, etc. )

And I find myself supporting the antagonist more than the protagonists ... depending on how you view who is more right. Was wishing the antagonist will win rather than the not-so-blameless protagonists. Or maybe the antagonist is the protagonist ...

Westworld Season 3 ... a bit harder to watch compared to GoT due to its sci-fi storyline complexities ... the composer is also Ramin Djawadi

Had to drag myself to pay attention in following the plots ... but worth the twists and surprises ... not sure how Season 3 gonna take the story further.

I concur! Binged all 8 episodes ... some plots are predictable, but me likey the characters' conflicts, no real black & white characters, a lot of greys.


Tried to watch the 1st episode ... was put off by the cheap visual effect ... haven't read fully the reviews for the 1st season; at a glance, it's just mediocre. (IMDB : 4.5/10, Metacritics : 2.9/10, RT : 58%)

Finished binging the 9 episodes of Season 2 in 2 nights.

Still captivating ... but for those who never watched it before, it's a script/dialogue heavy show, almost no actions ... just talk-talk-talk, but with interesting characters, the talks are not boring at all. Plus subplot of one active killing and one dormant (dunno when will strike again) killer, kept the good pacing between the interviews.

The score/soundtrack is eerie ... suit the show.

Binge-watched eight episodes of Unbelievable (Netflix) in one night .... quite detailed, like a CSI show but much much better in acting.

I'd give it 9/10 ... for superb casts, for great script, for the unimaginable emotional trauma suffered by the rape victims ... but minus 1, imho, for some forced feminists dialogues.

I thought there's a TV screen showing live news report about Mars, and can see a blue guy 'cooking up' a lot of dust there ... I assumed that's Dr. Manhattan ... if he's on Mars, how could Jeremy Irons' cryptic character be Dr. Manhattan?

Nevermind, the timeline for the characters' appearances weren't clearly stated. I think I'll be following this series, even though I kinda don't like the trailer (too much tick tock tick tock, felt forced and manufactured).

Ya, someone mentioned it before ... that's how I got to know and watch it also ... only the first few episodes, ... ya, not bad.
