QUOTE(michaelho @ Nov 4 2015, 04:41 PM) with all the crazy rates like that, I opt for lower tenure 3 months CIMB 4.25% (subject to approval ). Still smarting over the 4.12% 36 months with Ambank I put in 2014 QUOTE(mohdyusof @ Nov 4 2015, 04:59 PM) 3 months 4.25%? that will be the best for 3 months fd. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Nov 16 2015, 10:09 AM) Was planning to uplift my FD from OCBC but luckily I double check the cert. Turns out I just placed the FD last month for 13 months tenure but I forgot to change 2015 to 2016 in my record. Almost left my office already i encountered did not take 2 fd certs. so have to go back and take another cert back. |

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Nov 17 2015, 11:23 AM) Cannot be la.. now bank taking fd with 4.2 4.3.. that is their cost.. they need operating cost.. and profit.. so justifiable to see 6% range for mortgage. Non collateral probably higher.. have to depends on when the fd goes that high up. if fd amount high, "loss" in interest while waiting for the fd rate is I am waiting for fd to be likr 1997 period.. 6-7% also.not bad la.. If 7% that means my fd will x2 in 10 years.. wow ha ha! 6% still long way to go! |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 22 2015, 08:40 AM) Can always ask them and see. Tell them you want to add extra. Usually if the new amount is min >50% than original amount, most banks will see it as fresh funds. QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 22 2015, 09:24 AM) Is only for some banks only. If I am not mistaken, Affin and HL allows that. Say you have rm30k, just top up rm15k to make it a total of Rm45k. Just check again. Call up their customer service and enquire. student know about this trick!? hnws!!! |

QUOTE(??!! @ Nov 22 2015, 11:09 AM) I tried this with some banks & it works. ( Be nice about it and let your charm work on the cashier nice trick! Withdraw your FD as 'cash'. Then place FD as fresh funds. If the cashier enter the fund for new FD as 'transfer from FD withdrawal', then it's not "fresh" may work especially on opp. sex! |
