Just received a call from CB KL on their TD (Time Deposit) promo:

3 mth at 4%, min 50k until end of the year. Pure FD.

First time for years that CB has this type of pure FD promo. But still lose out to say RHB 3 mth 4.2% which I have placed recently !

So even CB looking for short term fund ?

So far, it doesn't show in their website nor came across in their branches.

The call just received. Have to enquire in the branch. Not sure if it is offered to Citigold members only.

Have you called the Penang branch ?

I wonder how's Citibank's TD cert looks like

My last FD with them is with UT promo. Their rate is one of the lowest, 1 mth 2.95%, 1 year 3.2% !

Just maintained my UT with them for the Citigold status. Their service esp Citiphone is GOOD !

The 3 mth 4% is not bad for short term FD placement.

Just read the terms and conditions for each of the FD promotions to know whether they must be placed over the counter or can be placed online, links to T&C have been posted on post #1 & 2, can't be help if you are just to lazy to read

What's the minimum amount? 28 & 29th are weekend. Are they open then?

this is NOT a conventional FD. It's Islamic Mudarabah GIA-i (General Investment Account-i), has some similarities with FD but operates differently.

which part of the rate you're interested? 6.0%? or 4.5%?

I called Penang OCBC PB centre (my RM out on vacation). One of the leng lui at the counter that I know (hehe, gsc don't set your std too high ) asked me, "what egg" ?

So this is not nation wide OCBC promo. KL/Klang valley only ?

The 12 mth FD 4.5% promo is until end of Dec, by the way.
