QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 2 2015, 02:13 PM) Funds got its ups and downs. but but but if 30% in Ponzi 2.0 + 70% in KGF >>> HSOF mah!I know your all favourite question..."why HSOF and not KGF?" KGF is 100% Bolehland, it CANNOT invest offshore HSOF can diversify up to 30% offshore At times of Bolehland low growth, HwangIM can move money offshore If u look at long-term performance, HSOF is still one of the top Malaysia-focused funds. And since I also holding Ponzi 1.0, I can switch freely between HSOF and Ponzi 1.0. Xuzen |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Nov 4 2015, 03:17 PM) Conventional wisdom is that it is better to make one lump sum investment. There is more money working for you at the beginning. Sales fee should not be the sole deciding factor. Lump sum into money market fund first.... then slow slow disburse to equity fund for risk reduction. But now with the volatile markets and globalisation where everything seems to have a positive correlation, it doesn't seem to work so well with most investors. Therefore IMHO better do DCA. Xuzen |

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Nov 4 2015, 08:56 PM) Abang Xuzen.... Wah lau eh... cepatnya you belajar!Question... 8.24% , means, 60% chance of +/- 8.24% around a mid point. as of YTD, it has increased 11.53%. 3 year average is 19.52%. The way I understand it is.... Mid point = 19.52% Current is 11.53% Current < Mid Point. 60% chance of it will rebound up? Actually, at 11.53% it is very near to negative One Standard deviation which means that it has about 67% chance to move towards the convergence point i.e., the 19.52% mark, and only 33% chance of it going away from the convergence point. The convergence point or mean is the inertial point, meaning by natural tendency the outcome wants to move towards there most of the time. Bang Xuzen kasi lu A minus! |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Nov 5 2015, 11:00 AM) Dengan sukacitanya saya menganugerahkan kepada saudara Xuzen A+ untuk kertas ujian Bahasa Malaysia SPM. Limpeh sezs it is STPM standard lah!Off-topic a bit, I have seen a youtube vid of the Prime Minister of The Republic of Singapura gave a whole 30 mins speech in Bahasa Melayu during the Singapura Parliamentary session. He was composed, authoritative and 100% technocratic.... just the kind of nerdy / geeky leader needed to make Singapura the 1st Class Country it is today. I must say I am impressed! No drama, no playing to the gallery type of all show no substance speech. And no pseudo-Bugis bravado as well. Xuzen This post has been edited by xuzen: Nov 5 2015, 11:24 AM |

ladies and gentlemen, that was Esther Teo
In equities, we have Lee Sook Yee In fixed income, we have Esther Teo I bought my Honda City about a year ago and instead of paying lump sum cash, I decided to take a HP loan at effective rate 5.05% p.a. Then that sum I put into Affin Hwang Select Bond - MYR fund. Guess what! That fund got me 7.XX ROI in one year. In essence I managed to get a discount on the HP rate by taking a calculated risk. LOL arguing about which NAV for reinvestment....
Let's be objective, this CIMB Titan is at best a moderate risk fund i.e., the volatility is like 8.XX% p.a. Divide that by 365 days = WTF! 0.023% movement a day sahaje.... Ini pun you orang nak split hair pasal hal ini... here have some eye candy (specially for Pinky: Viet Mois) Xuzen p/s The one of the left sezs Hi Pinky! You guiz are so typical bean counters... 0.023% out of say RM 100K is RM 23.00 difference only.
