To max out the budget, you can upgrade to an oc rig/1440p monitor/get a nicer case/mobo/cooler etc. |

QUOTE(Mzxy @ Feb 10 2016, 02:48 PM) For me, nope, if you prefer to run max settings (including MSAA, GameWorks settings) at 60 FPS in latest games, you need a GTX980Ti, even for a 1080p screen, GTX970 and GTX980 need to tune down the AA settings a bit.And you asked for 144Hz monitor, thus the need of the GPU processing power is increased, if you play Dota 2/CSGO then a GTX960 is enough, if you want to run other games at 144Hz then you better pick a better GPU, but most of the people will run triple A titles at 60Hz due to screen tearing when GPU unable to achieve 144Hz, if you have money, you can use GSync or FreeSync monitor to solve this. |

Since the 6700 non k runs at 3.4ghz stock instead of the 4 ghz on the k version. 3.4GHz is pretty fast already, 4.0GHz will be a monster for normal gaming and daily use.But due to stock shortage of i7 6700K last time, price went up in a very quick pace and the price difference is around RM 250+ now. So RM 250 for 0.6GHz gain, worth it or not? Your choice, some might say it worth, some might disagree. |

[Location] Perlis Thanks As for GPU, Nvidia's Pascal and AMD's Polaris are coming soon, probably in Q3, if you can wait then just wait. As for monitor, if you want 27" monitor, go for 1440p instead. In conclusion, if you want to conduct an upgrade, Skylake i7 is the only choice because Haswell i5 to Skylake i5 just doesn't make any sense in terms of price/performance. |
