Last gen and current gen hardware price is almost similar, you won't see much difference unless you go for low end chipset mobo (H81/B85).

Intel Core i7 4790 - RM 1383
Gigabyte H97-HD3 - RM 455
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Value RAM - RM 169
Zotac GTX980Ti 6GB GDDR5 AMP - RM 2899
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 229
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W - RM 409
Corsair Carbide Spec-01 - RM 240
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 65
Acer S230H FHD - RM 399

Total: RM 6463 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

That's why I don't recommend Malaysian to use PCPartPicker, the price is in USD and you cannot direct convert to RM due to different price (import duty/tax/GST etc.) and some items aren't available in local market here.

I added the market price to the items listed for your convenience.

Intel Core i7 4790K - RM 1549
Corsair Hydro H60 - RM 349
Gigabyte Z97X-SLI - RM 649
GSKill Ripjaws 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM - RM 319
Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB SSD - RM 199
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Zotac GTX980Ti 6GB GDDR5 Reference - RM 2899
Corsair Carbide Spec-01 - RM 240
Corsair RM 650 - RM 569
Asus DVD ROM - RM 59
Asus VX238H - RM 799
CM Storm Devastator - RM 149

Total: RM 7995

Nah, 6.5k is a huge budget, you don't need to spend your money on 2nd hand item, your budget can buy you a very good rig already, but don't be too ambitious with your budget though, just get whatever you can with your money, it's like you only have 100k but you keep dreaming to buy a Ferrari, that's impossible and unrealistic.

Hello guys, please suggest a rig for 3d making, autocad and all. A workstation like that.

Budget : RM3500 ( including monitor, kb and mouse )

Prefer i7 if the budget allows. Oh, and original windows.

Thanks in advance.

Some software use GPU technology (i.e. CUDA) as hardware acceleration during operation, but not all, you will only benefit from it if it utilizes it.

Intel Core i7 6700 - RM 1384
Gigabyte H110M-DS2 - RM 290
Corsair 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 400
Gigabyte GT730 2GB GDDR5 - RM 305
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
FSP Hexa 400W - RM 145
Bitfenix Nova - RM 149
Acer S230H FHD - RM 399
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 65

Total: RM 3352 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

Left around RM 150 for Windows OS, price is different for each version so you can make your own choice.

Guys, if i want buy PC just for watching at least full HD movie,
not much of any other activity besides do internet stuff
(basically i just want to turn my Led TV into smart tv biggrin.gif)

so for that kind of requirement, if i built using Intel G4400, 8GB ddr4, Mobo with ddr4 support and HDMI, and NO Graphic card, would it be sufficient? and should i buy a new PSU coz i believe most of casing has built in PSU

Branded casing doesn't come with PSU nowadays, only cap ayam casing comes with cap ayam PSU, not recommended to use it.

If you have budget, go for branded PSU instead.

iGPU of Skylake is quite powerful and no need to get dedicated GPU just for movie.
