I don't think the nexus phone will sell like hot cakes. Remember Google always screw up their nexus stock order

QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Oct 19 2015, 06:55 PM) http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/10/nex...id-ecosystem/3/ 10.5 hours for screen on time. So probably the best nexus battery live ever. Tinny not so quality speaker though QUOTE(zhou86 @ Oct 19 2015, 07:00 PM) It was wifi browsing test at 200 nits, so result are much higher than our normal usage, but from comparison graph, it's much better than 6P and almost on par with 6S+, really not bad ![]() |

Keeping daily tabs on this is too mentally torturing given how far away the actual shipping date for this phone is. Gonna just chill and wait for local announcements

Sorry, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X Don’t Support Quick Charge 2.0
QUOTE Currently, the Nexus 6P isn't listed on Qualcomm's list of devices that have been tested and certified to be compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 chargers Generally, if a device doesn't have the hardware to support Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 as well as if the charger doesn't have the same charging voltage and current, the result will be a longer charge time. For example: The Nexus 6P supports charging at 5V/3A, but if you only have a 1A charger, the process will take longer. Likewise, if you plug a 4A charger into the Nexus 6P which only supports 3A charging, it won't charge any faster. Cheers, Christine The Google Support Team Google’s official 5V/3A OnePlus Adapter 5V/2A Not sure how much faster compared to OP2. I guess that's the Type-C that people want 5:15 According to Josh, he had to take abt 2.5 to 3 hours to get the battery to full charge from completely death. How long does OP2 take again? |

Only missing information to make an informed decision is how good is the headphones drivers is. |

QUOTE(SyathibiyMegat @ Oct 21 2015, 01:16 AM) Sorry, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X Don’t Support Quick Charge 2.0 I find that statement by Josh strange, others claim the N6P comes with USB-C fast charging tech, and charging was fast.Google’s official 5V/3A OnePlus Adapter 5V/2A Not sure how much faster compared to OP2. I guess that's the Type-C that people want 5:15 According to Josh, he had to take abt 2.5 to 3 hours to get the battery to full charge from completely death. How long does OP2 take again? OP2 is different, because although it uses USB-C, it DOESN'T have the fast charging feature that comes with the USB-C. MKBHD took like 3hours+ to fully charge the OP2. |

The charging time reported by Josh from Android Authority differs so much differently from other sites. This is a summary of what I had read to date concerned about charging time. One thing is obvious - these are based on using the supplied charger and original type C cable
Androidheadlines : In my usage I found that the phone charged from 0-100% in under an hour, a feat that’s not matched often. TheVerge : I'm also super impressed with fast charging. I was able to get from 25 percent up to 45 percent in just 15 minutes and charge from nil to full in just over an hour. Getting those numbers requires using the provided power brick and, yes, the new USB Type-C charging cable. Techcrunch : but you can go from about a 5 percent charged to 20 percent in minutes. Gottabemobile : The Nexus 6P features quick charging as well, meaning it goes from 0-50% in less than 30 minutes, To answer another forumer query : My ex One Plus Two charging time is indeed very slow 5% to full in about 2.75 hours . And the type C cable that comes with it was horribly slow transferring data from PC to phone - I'd say is the slowest I had ever experienced in any Android This post has been edited by benny888: Oct 21 2015, 08:28 AM |

QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Oct 21 2015, 07:16 AM) But stress the GPU and things got a bit meh In 6P's defense, it has QHD resolution, see G4's super low score. What surprise me is 5X, I guess the low end GPU in S808 is the cause Overall it's OK. Only missing information to make an informed decision is how good is the headphones drivers is. QUOTE(zhou86 @ Oct 21 2015, 08:07 AM) I find that statement by Josh strange, others claim the N6P comes with USB-C fast charging tech, and charging was fast. USB-C doesnt specifically have high power profile ( for fast charging ) as standard, that's how OnePlus tricked consumers.OP2 is different, because although it uses USB-C, it DOESN'T have the fast charging feature that comes with the USB-C. MKBHD took like 3hours+ to fully charge the OP2. |
