Hi syafiq87. Just want to check, with this CENTURY MARATHONER DIN66L, the height also just nice? Or there is some space left at the top of the cover?Thank you very much.

QUOTE(zweimmk @ May 20 2016, 09:44 AM) Saw the photo album. No need remap or piggyback. Supercircuit downpipe is plug&play. No CEL.Yes, will increase hp and torque once you decat and install a bigger downpipe. BUT, you must remap the car ECU or install a piggyback which will change the settings of the ECU. If you don't do that, then the car will surely have check light error. Stock 408THP has only about 130+hp on wheel. If this car did a remap with the downpipe change, then the owner probably can expect about 160+ to 170+hp on wheel |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ May 23 2016, 02:14 PM) Interesting, so the ECU won't show CEL if the cat con is missing? Dont know what you called it. I guess you can call it a defouler or a bypass. So is a plug & play and no CEL.Or does the downpipe use a highflow cat or perhaps an O2 defouler? The downpipe has no more cat. So is no a highflow cat. It is a straight pipe through. 2.5" Hope this clarifies |

Hi Guys,
Is any 408T owner here using the Bluetooth OBD2 reader? Can you get any readings through the Torque app (or any other app)? I have the bluetooth OBD2 device, but i cannot get any readings from the car. But i can get reading if i use it on other cars like 308 and RCZ. So just wondering if anyone knows what is going on? How to solve it? Thank you. |

QUOTE(mayalab @ Nov 6 2016, 11:55 PM) ......Some owners prefer to be less vocal, maybe they prefer to read rather than to participate. *Lurking* *Silently reading* If you look closely at the trend of participation for the last few years. Many owners are no longer here. My guess would be they have sold off their 408. |

QUOTE(ZaiZai1989 @ Nov 20 2016, 12:44 PM) I dont think there is 408FL that is manufactured/built in 2016. Maybe pre-register in 2016.If you think about it, the new 408 e-thp is launch in 2016, why would they still manufacture the FL? But i could be wrong. If not mistaken, production of 408FL stop in 2014/15. Hence all the big discount to clear stock and make way for the new 408 e-thp. ZaiZai1989....Please double check with the SA or other Pug sales center..... |

QUOTE(optraman taro @ Dec 26 2016, 09:05 PM) Hi Vijai, What color is your Griffe? I am very happy with my Griffe too For me, when i got my Griffe, there was a huge discount and i got mine at the same price as the base model. So it wasn't that hard to decide. Looking back, I would prefer 17" wheels coz the tyres are damn expensive. The CD/nav/rear camera is decent though there's a delay when i switch it on. The rear view camera is surprisingly quite good IMHO,the images are clear. How much are they asking for the extras? All in,i'm happy with my Griffe,i've always liked that feeling of being special i guess. Go Klang to buy tyres. Much cheaper. Even for the 18" |

QUOTE(vijai @ Dec 29 2016, 04:44 PM) Interesting that both Griffe and non-griffe have same suspension. That's not what the salespeople are telling me. Griffe and non-griffe Turbo version has the same suspension set-up. But if you have the 18", the ride might be abit harsher than the non-griffe. But you get used to is VERY fast.Apparently the 408s are going like hot cakes. Have to book mine in the next couple of days. I'm not keen on the 408NA for the simple reason that it doesn't have ESP. Many a time, I've taken a sharp corner or too fast around the corner and I could feel the ESP kicking in to prevent skidding. You must be a super hardcore driver to whack a corner until ESP come out. The tolerance of the car before the ESP kicks in, is quite high in my opinion. So you must be taking corners kao kao for the ESP to kick in. |

QUOTE(jiunkei_46 @ Jan 4 2017, 09:10 AM) Agree with mtbk3, hardly the ESP will kick in unless the car really gonna 'buang' then ESP will kick in.. only encountered once where i was driving on winding road after rain and too over confident that i can go over those stones that was washed to the edge of the road after rain.. but who knows the rear end gave up and can feel that time that the car gonna spin and the ESP kicks in and i was able to continue to take that corner.. but the pull back effect was so strong almost had back pain.. QUOTE(jfcheong @ Jan 4 2017, 09:18 AM) The ESP light will blink if it kick in... You wont happy to see that. Lolx Not easy to get the rear-end to buang in this car. Unless you pull handbrake and "piao piao". You get more understeer situations happening with this car. But anywyas, be safe on the road. Dont "piao piao"...... Only happen 1 or 2 times on my car for so many years driving |

QUOTE(T7475 @ Feb 5 2017, 10:58 PM) Anywhere i can upgrade my 408T software to stage 2 performance without changing parts? Is it safe? I mean damaging the engine maybe.. i used to chase after toyota prius C last month in Grik...and i would say it was not easy also to overtake that car...its acceleration shocked me up ... my lion needs to work harder but when it comes to selekoh... conti has its own character... any comments on this - The Stage 2 map is more aggressive than Stage 1 (obviously), so you need supporting hardware to support the new map. You can still go and do a Stage 2 map, but i think it is a waste of money since you wont be able to extract out the performance potential of the Stage 2 map (most probably it will still be a Stage 1 performance gain). Anyways, better to pasang all your performance parts first, then one-shot go do tuning. If not you waste alot of money. You tune now with stock car parts, then later you mod, you have to retune again, mod, retune again. Bazir duit.https://mychiptuningfiles.com/en/chiptuning...8-1-6-thp-163hp If you on a budget, i suggest a drop-in filter and a downpipe. This will give you an increase in performance which you can feel. This are all plug-and-play items. As for the selekoh issue.....Prius lighter....That makes it more nimble and easier to handle...The electric motor has no lag and sends all the torque to the wheels at very very low rpm....So pick up wise i wont be surprise it will be faster....But you should be able to catch up from mid-range onwards....Maybe the Prius got secret mods ler..... Happy modding. May you find the power you seek This post has been edited by mtbk3: Feb 6 2017, 11:24 AM |

QUOTE(lim47 @ Feb 6 2017, 11:35 AM) How does a hybrid spec calculated for hp & torque ? separate figure or combine ? They can have both. Certain driving parameters it will just be either electric motor, petrol engine or both. All depending on the driving situation and the power reserves on the battery.the electric motor does the extra work for the petrol engine . Electric power is instant .. A drag race with electric vehicle. Drag race with electric vehicle, the pick up part definitely will go to the electric vehicle. As you said, the power is instant. But only the early part of the drag la. Watch the Grand Tour last episode. You can see they have a drag race between GTI Mk7 and Bmw i3. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Feb 6 2017, 11:41 AM) Bro, recommended oil viscosity for our engine is 0W-30 or 5W-30. 5w-40 can use also but maybe engine response a tad slow. At major service, didn't they tell you about turbo hose & valve cover condition? I think older cars should use abit thicker oil. The engine would have had a certain amount of wear and tear already if it is old. Thicker oil can properly coat and fill up those gaps caused by wear and tear (of course this may not be visible with the naked eye). I am at 50k km and i am using 5w-40 already. Hehehehehehe You bought 5w-40 cos it is 5liter,right! I don't understand why we are conned, our engine only needs 4 liters. I only realised this after servicing outside. The mechanic gave me back 1liter. With 4liters in, I checked my dipstick, it was at the full mark! Don't understand why valve cover not claimable on EWP. This is part of engine. I ditched EWP cos all the confusion. Some people succeeded with EWP claims on many items, I guess it all depends on luck! Anyway just bought original valve head cover, gaskets and turbo inlet hose, at spare part shop, for $1150. Labour charge would be $150,going to fix this Sat. |

QUOTE(lim47 @ Feb 6 2017, 12:12 PM) Petrol Vs Electric. Yups. That also. Depends on how power the electric motor. The McLaren P1 electric motor produce 200hp like a Golf GTI.Depends how powerful the electric motor Watch top gear when a tesla outrun a hellcat muscle ... But then, cannot last long wan. After a short period, the battery sure kosong already. Then need recharge or use petrol engine. Hahahahahhaha.....No sound some more if use electric motor...... |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Feb 6 2017, 05:18 PM) Probably true for old engines. 50k still new la bro, 500k can say old.... hehehe! I prefer to stick with recommended viscosity! 500k km BARU CONSIDERED OLD?!?!?!!? You damn "kua cheong" With my previous car, I did try thicker oil and felt heavier engine response. Am just a little bit more cautious with this Prince engine. 5w-30 to 5w-40 is not that much thicker. Just slightly only. If jump to 5w-60 then is DAMN thick ler... I am like you la....Cautious....Thats why start to use abit thicker oil...The oil becomes thin when is hot.....You know ler, this engine runs very hot plus malaysia weather also hot....Just worry that the 5w-30 will not be thick enough after it heats up..... |

QUOTE(hyuanl @ Feb 8 2017, 01:47 PM) Can you explain more details on doing preventive maintenance?? planing to get 1 408e-thp. i compared it to civic, still the handling on e-thp is beter.. A friendly and neutral advice here. If you already have doubts, i suggest maybe you dont get the Peugeot. The worst thing is getting a car and then you have regrets with it, and every month still have to pay installment. The regrets is the worst feeling of all. So if you already having doubts, dont proceed with it. just worried about the lead time on parts and growing dust in sc if anything happened to the car.. i read almost 40pages of this 408. Every1 seems to have the same problem on air conditioning & bearings. 10/10 friend i asked, all convincing me not to buy peugeot.. im seriously having dilemma now. >.< |
