Posting a photo of 408 E-thp Rear Wheel Suspension.

As I can see there's no Anti Roll Bar but a huge U shaped Member.

Asked a few shops, No ARB available for 408  sad.gif

Or just the U shaped bar is enough to replace ARB??

The rear suspension is a Torsion Beam. Torsion beam is like a 2 in 1 suspension set up. It works as a suspension component and also a anti-roll bar. The "U" shape design works like a ARB.

In the previous 408, the Torsion Beam is hollow with a bar inside it, to further reinforce the rigidity of the Torsion Beam. Not sure about the Ethp design though. But im guessing it should be the same.

You can custom make a ARB. Ultra Racing can do for you but u need to drill holes on the bottom spring bracket. IF you willing to drill hole, then ask them to do it for you.

My advise, try not to stiffen the rear too much. Too stiff in the rear will then to make the rear slip out (over steer). The car's stability system will kick in to correct oversteer. So if too stiff and u take corners, the ESP will keep on kicking in. Damn kacau.

Hope this information help icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm thinking of sending my car directly to Renautech instead of Peugeot SC. I think the technicians there are a little slow and the work quality isn't quite good. Probably it was due to the queue there. I left my car at the SC for 4 days just for them to find fault in the fuse and have it changed. Unfortunately another problem came up. Can't afford to waste my time anymore.

Heard renautech is quite good. You may also consider SPV Automotive, very good as well. Can look up their facebook.

Indeed might as well have the BOV mod with aftermarket since the plastic seal couldn't last.

This GFB DV+ is one of the first part i got when i started modding. My car is 2014 and the GFB has been working well since then. Really good to invest on one of it. Now if you wondering which is better, the GFB or the Forge. Both works the same. Difference is GFB is recirculating and Forge is vent to atmosphere. The forge you will get a louder blow off sound. While the GFB you get a whistling sound. Another difference is, with the GFB, the pick up is slightly more responsive when you let go throttle and throttle again while in boost. You can DIY install this part also.

Happy modding cool2.gif cool2.gif cool2.gif

fuiyoo ... sifu muncur !!!
actually i've looking for the GFB for sometime..
some shops are no longer carry it ..
lazada .. i suspect is imitation  cry.gif
mind to share where u get yours ?
actually you can search at youtube .. the DIY is quite straight forward ..
i think yours is ok to mod for GFB ...
*
I bought mine from GFB directly back then la. I think they have their own ebay profile too. You can check. Maybe more expensive now coz currency difference. So maybe those shop that still got stock might be cheaper coz they order by bulk.

As for the solenoid, i am not sure yours is rosak or not. But usually that part is damn tough. Only the front part is very brittle. The installation is very easy. Just connect the solenoid to the DV+ and then pasang back to the compressor housing. Kao Tim.

TOUCH WOOD. IF is the solenoid rosak, you have to change it anyways. Then the current broken valve you also cant use. So might as well replace it with the DV+ or Forge. Conclusion......No need think....Just buy the DV+ or Forge....

How about this kit? This one would not require the existing solenoid at all. Picture taken was from actual user (not my picture)
*
This one runs on vacuum and the Forge blowoff runs on vacuum line. You can see the solenoid has 2 nipples for the hose to be plug in.

The GFB DV+ and the Forge (there is one like the DV+, the front part only), still uses the factory electric solenoid. Which reacts faster due because is electric. No test on this yet. Just claimed made by the brands from theory. This reaction is not to be mistaken for the reaction of throttle responds. Just the speed at which the solenoid activates.

https://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Blow_Off_...oduct--778.html

The attached link is the blowoff adaptor that i mentioned. Its similar to the GFB DV+. Just that this forge has 3 holes on the adaptor to release the air. So you get the louder sound.

I visit both Renautech and Bros Autocare .. Both done great job ..
Put the situation like this, if one day your turbo koyak, will you take this opportunity to upgrade better turbo ? or just replace a new ori turbo will do ?
If u going to mod --> Bros Autocare
If u going to keep it stock --> Renautech

just my 2 cents la ..  rclxms.gif

Those 2 shop is good and experience with Pugs. They in the market for long time. So they are very familiar with all Pugs issues.

You can add another to the list. Try SPV Automotive. They are participants in the MSF Race series. They use their racing and track experience to advise on any mods that you would like to do. Not base on product adverts. They work on all sorts of car as well. The owner drives Pug too...So Pug issues and repairs is no issues for him.

Sometime i share my opinion with my friend who own a mini R56 ..
most of them advice replace the stock Blow Off diverter valve

and the Turbo Intake Hose
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

this 2 items is most frequently failed one ..

that why i look for alternative .. minor mod for Blow Off diverter valve = GFB DV+
for turbo intake hose, i still studying and research ..

The 2 plastic intake hose, just go exhaust shop ask them to use a 2" pipe stainless steel. Kao tim. But need to machine the sensor plug point. Wont cost as much as original plastic hose. Last a damn bloody long time. Looks nice also

Silicone hose eventually the colour will fade or change. Due to the heat.

hmm .. really need to ask .. if still durable then i feel is ok la ..
*
Its more durable than the ori plastic of course. But silicone being silicone, it will bound to breakdown over time. By that i mean A LONGGGGGG time. The color change and fade will definitely happen first. Then later on when it starts to weaken, it may expand when air it being send through it. Like got bubble when you throttle. Happen to me when i was dyno-ing. My silicone joint break after that.

So stainles steel is better in my personal opinion. You can go the the shop to get those ready made. Or you can go exhaust shop to compare the prices and you can get them to make the compression route the way you want. Just remember to get them to machine the sensor point if you go exhaust shop.

I did mine from an exhaust shop long time ago. Custom made it. I do one shot with my front mount intercooler. All researched, purchased and custom myself. After that got few shops started selling the full plug-and-play set. So more convenient now.

Go look around and research from shops la. Getting opinions is good. Can learn and experience new things. Can compare prices and services and expertise. That's the fun part about modding. The process of modding is the fun part.

All the usual plug and play stuff....

CAI
Full exhaust system (downpipe all the way to muffler)
Front mount intercooler (self sourced)
Intercooler piping (custom made back then)
HLHS Suspension (the most difficult part to get the setting right)
GFB DV+
Sports Seat
Steel Brake Hose
Tuning

Thats about it la. Wont be doing anymore until i sort out the suspension settings.

- I plan to do it too. But still reading. Do you do heat shield for CAI too ? I found that our engine bay quite hot one .. Maybe sifu can advice ?  sweat.gif
You can do heat shield, you can put your intake low (near the bottom of bumper) or you can use hose to direct air. Doesnt matter as long as the intake is taking outside air, is fine. Not engine bay air. For me, when i did my CAI last time, i use a Works CF filter (i dont think is real CF by the way) then custom the bracket to install it to the turbo. Then i install a hose to the inlet of the CF filter and put the hose infront of bumper. So everything is isolated and is drawing direct air from outside. Now easy, some shop got do the full set plug and play

- You change the extrator too for your exhaust ?
Nope. The extractor (manifold) is mounted directly to turbine side of the turbo. I just change the downpipe. I dont really think that machining the manifold to make more exhaust gas flow, will get much power gain. Maybe response will be better. I dont know coz belum try. And dont intend to try

- intercooler and piping (plan to do next, but bigger intercooler on stock turbo ?)
No issue with using bigger intercooler on stock turbo. Anything cold for the intake is good. Especially when you going for tuning later on.

- Suspension (not into it yet)
Best investment. Really change the cars character.

- GFB DV+  (waiting for part)
BAGUS!!!! thumbsup.gif

- Steel Brake Hose (plan to do next)
- Sport seat ( not into it yet )
- Tuning (maybe after a few mod .. KIV)
My advise is put all the hardware first then tune it once and for all. If not very waste money. You pasang new thing then pay for tune again.

Most of them are still studying (google actually) on the pros and cons ..
not into heavy mod tho but was think to use the 408 for long ..

You are welcome.

But really, do go around and survey and research. There are many shops out there that to compare and take advise. Dont terus jump into decision on a shop or anything. Like i said, best part about modding is the process.

Happy Modding. Hope to see more Pugs in the mod scene.

solution ?

Just ask mech to tighten it back. The lever is adjustable. But please do not over-tighten. ECU will read it as overboost and CEL will come out. Adjust it just enough until the sound is gone.

I think you should check with your mech on this. Usually they can do. But the shops you can explore is Tong Tubro or Turbo One. They are turbo specialist.
