Just send my car this morning to replace the valve cover. The noise is so damn annoying & memalukan. 408T year 2015, 105000km on mileage so far. The mechanic told me that most owners didn't complaint after they changed the defective parts. Then it means either the original parts suck or the owners are happy with the repair or they replace it outside or they sold off their car. Which doesn't comfort me much.

Baru 2 tahun pakai,sudah tukar aircond compressor/condenser,cooling coil, valve cover, fan relay & they told me these are common problems. Scary la wei.

Hi, i am a 308cc driver as well and to date the car maintenance fees is around 10k/year also,  just recently did the recall at Glenmarie SC, just call them and they will set an appointment. So much more things to do to this car as well..

As for this year, 2017

Here is what the car has gone through

- 100k KM service - RM1200
- Suspension works  - RM2310.80
- Recall parts 1 (oilcooler adapter, turbo electric coolant pump,
Water pump , breather hose) -  FOC
- HID bulbs – RM 370
- Engine oil topup 3L – RM127
- (pair) Yokohama Advan Fleva – RM 900
- Recall parts 2 ( Waterpump, timing chain, HPFP, Cooling coil, oil pump kit, ECU update) – FOC
- 110k KM service + coolant flush - RM670

The car will intermittently throw a check engine light but due to the OBD port is not functioning, nothing can be done to rectify the issue. Both SC and specialists have identified that the main wiring harness has been shot thus leading to the inactive OBD2 connector. And the cost to replace the main harness is around 15k

Anyone would like to help me to assist on my Peugeot 408THP 2013 headlight assembly? I sent it to SC for engine replacement and they broke my both headlight assembly, but I'm happy that they replace my engine, Aircond, and other few items after 100K driven and 6 years, still got 1 year warranty left.

It took almost a 10months, they ordered from France with the same engine number and waited from JPJ to approve first, just delivery took 4 months and order processing around another 5 months and 1 month for fixing the engine, I calculated the cost its around RM45,315 total SC claimed. All free, still 8 months warranty left, Luckily I bought additional warranty otherwise it's nightmare to replace engine and mountings etc.
Good thing is that they replaced that engine with Generation2 engine.

For the engine mounting, I just changed the broken one. There are 3 parts if I'm not mistaken.

I tried to check with CLIC and for mine no timing chain recall.. Mine Y2013 408T..
Never had timing recall before..

Will continue to monitor. Might consider switching to a higher viscosity too. Gonna talk to the SC and see what they say.

Guys. I'm considering to buy a 2nd hand 408. Is it worth it getting the e-THP rather than the normal THP? My budget is below 25k though.

I replaced my 408 windscreen side rubber trim DIY.
I purchased the trim from Shoppe. Cost around RM250.
