I feel you your pain.  I'm having same issues with my 407.  (I've got my 408 now too)

Like you, I changed my air-con compressor about 2+ months back. lately, I've been getting the Engine Management System Faulty error message.  Like you I had it towed to my mechanic and they cleared the message as the diagnostics didn't seem to indicate a specific problem.  But after that,  I kept getting it again and again.  I realized that it happens when my air-con is on. Without air-con, it seems ok.

When the problem occurs, switch off the air-con, shut down the engine and wait for about 15 to 20mins. then restart and message should have cleared. If not, unplug one of you battery cables for about 1 minute. This will clear the message. After that wait for about 15mins and start the car again.  Message should have gone and you could use the car again. At least to bring it to the workshop.
My mechanic at Euro Tech (Kayu Ara) thinks it's could be the fuse box as it's happened to several people already.  The replacement cost is about RM1.2K
Btw, I usually buy my parts at Mobis at Segambut (opposite GBH). Prices are cheapest compared to the rest and the guy is very helpful and pleasent to deal with.

Guys, lately the error message of "ABS/ESP Faulty" keep popping out. Sometimes off and restart the error message goes away, sometimes don't.
Anyone has this experience? What need to be fixed? Thanks!

I did asked the counter lady if showing the car key would be acceptable, but she insist on the privilege card.
Lucky for her, I did not bring my car key along , otherwise I would have call their hotline and highlight my predicament.

When I was there in Nov 2016, they just asked to see the car key but my guest had to register. Maybe now they require the privilege card too - but the card's useless as it can't be used after 12 months!
