wondering why MQA standard for private uni and public uni is different. one of my friends from foundation in science, apply to enroll in FOB undergrad course, are not allowed to do so unless if he took foundation in business. But one of my friends from matriculation (science module), took Economics in public uni.. how is that possible?
Basically it's 2 different requirement standard for applying into a university degree program.
By enrolling into MMU, you're obligate to follow the rules and standard created by MMU. And also MMU is a private university and business is their priority. Therefore, only choose your foundation in MMU if you're very sure regarding the degree program you're choosing in the next year.
*You're not even allowed to switched from foundation in Engineering to Bachelor in IT directly,
you're only allowed to do a credit transfer for the similar/same subjects taken from foundation in Engineering to foundation in IT,
and then retake all of the subjects which are not listed in foundation in Engineering
** Foundation is usually a deadly 'ties' to a university. You're usually required to retake a certain subjects if you're using "another" university foundation to apply into "another" university foundation.
Eg: MMU foundation in Life Science --> UCSI foundation in Science
(credit transfer most of the subjects, but required to retake Bio1/2/3, something like that)
