QUOTE(Akihito Aniki @ Mar 1 2017, 12:38 PM) Quick question You dont have to show the pictures. Just fold the paper and show the important information only. I was going to print my exam slip when i noticed that my photo is like seriously big, like almost half the page. Is there any way i can change my picture size to to smaller one. Tbh its kind of embarassing |

Guys, my sister wants to study bachelor of strategic communications in MMU cyber.
But I can't seem to find the MQA certification for that course and therefore PTPTN will not cover the fees. But the prerequisite (foundation in English) is MQA certified. Is MMU in the midst of getting the certification? Or memang can't get loan for that course? Can somebody brief me on this? |

umm I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask in but is it better to complete Diploma in IT then continue with Degree in Software Engineering @ MMU or go the Foundation route?
I realize that the Foundation route is faster but my sister who's went through the same course in another university advises me to go for Diploma instead and then further to Degree since Diploma is more specific to what you are studying. I checked their program structures and found that the first two years of Diploma in IT is actually quite stacked with considerably more IT-related subjects compared to Foundation in IT and even first year of Degree. So I'm wondering if picking Diploma in IT then Degree would be better or not and if it is,what is the rough estimation for the completion from Diploma to Degree? Sorry,if I'm bundling too many questions.Thank You. This post has been edited by popsfavouriteson: Mar 6 2017, 07:32 PM |

Hi, it is now exam week so you may not get a quick reply. Since your question is on diploma vs foundation route, try asking the general community too (edu section). You may get a good input from the various experts.I realize that the Foundation route is faster but my sister who's went through the same course in another university advises me to go for Diploma instead and then further to Degree since Diploma is more specific to what you are studying. QUOTE(popsfavouriteson @ Mar 6 2017, 08:29 PM) umm I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask in but is it better to complete Diploma in IT then continue with Degree in Software Engineering @ MMU or go the Foundation route? As my experience in Diploma in Accounting to Bachelor in Accounting. Yes diploma, more specific to what you are studying and it's more relaxed and fun. Diploma also have internship, so it makes easier to study in degree because you know what you are supposed to do in the workplace. The only downside is when you want to credit transfer from diploma to degree, there may be some changes in the future. Like mine I supposed to credit transfer around 13 subjects but because of university new policy can only get 9. Time to complete accounting route is 6 years (2 years in diploma + 4 years in degree). I dont know about software engineering but it should take around 5 years. ( standard 2+3) I realize that the Foundation route is faster but my sister who's went through the same course in another university advises me to go for Diploma instead and then further to Degree since Diploma is more specific to what you are studying. Sorry,if I'm bundling too many questions.Thank You. TL;DR Diploma more relaxed, specific and got guidance from lecturer. Foundation if you want to end fast. (Don't worry about if diploma is more specific, in degree they will teach you everything) (Need to rely more on self study) |

Faster to go through via Foundation if you're planning to do degree. Diploma is the safe route, takes longer but you have two usable cert for work purposes.I realize that the Foundation route is faster but my sister who's went through the same course in another university advises me to go for Diploma instead and then further to Degree since Diploma is more specific to what you are studying.
