Its not an easy work.

You need to submit your result transkrip from your previous institute.

Then kena jumpa the subject's lecturer personally to get their sign of approval. Some of them will test your knowledge first. Be ready!

And not all subject will be approved.

Based on my experience lah.

yes, last time if from MMU diploma IT --> degree IT (can transfer 12 subjects with B above),
now adays, macam only can transfer a maximum of 7 subjects (from diploma - degree IT)

do take note that, if you're a diploma credit transfer student,
the course structure might not be able to fit very well (as the course structure is designed for a 3 years course),
so you are required to ask the faculty & readjust your course structure in order for you to complete within 2~2.5 year)

So how does credit transfer works in MMU? What do I need to submit? Planning to study degree in SE in MMU but currently studying at Tarc diploma final semester. Thanks for replies !
*
depends on your previous university course structure. From what I experienced if from MMU Diploma > MMU Degree can transfer a lot of subject directly without seeing any lecturer. If from different uni to MMU might be able to transfer few subject only, mostly fundamental subject only and need to see lecturer to get approval. The deadline is very tight too to submit your credit transfer. So manage your time well.

Thanks to all the replies to my question earlier. TARC degree intake will be on May whereas MMU's will be on July so there is a risk I have to take if I am eager to study in MMU. Am I advised to stay in TARC or further study in MMU?

This question might be a little impossible to answers but, I really need an answer to this question no matter what. Who know someone might know a little information about this.

I've checked the brochure for Information Technology and Computer Science from MMU website (Brochure Link). At page 7 titled: An Award-Winning University With a Global Outlook, right side of the title, there's 4 bullet point elaborating more about the title and the fourth one is what my question is about. It says, "Get exposure to some of the best practices of the world’s best universities such as MIT, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, USC and Tokyo University". What does this mean? Does it mean that MMU had entered partnership and have almost the same modules taught to the students as the said universities? Is it true or just some marketing business to attract more students toward MMU?

I'm asking this question just to boost my confidence more before pulling the trigger to enroll in Diploma in IT & Computer Science Degree. It would be awesome if it's true.

"Get exposure to some of the best practices of the world’s best universities such as MIT, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, USC and Tokyo University"

We implement and follow the same standard and practise as top universities. Not a partnership or marketing gimmick.

If you don't mind, may I know what countries and universities recognized MMU Diploma & Degree programmes? Asking this because I'm probably going to further my Master overseas (Most likely Japan) with those two qualification. I know you might think this is probably not the time to think about it because I haven't gotten those 2 qualification but hey why not try to plan our future early on right?

Thank you for your time to answering my question icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi , I am currently applying for MMU through the Online Admission Process .

At the qualification page , English 1119 / GCE-O Levels do I need to insert my 1119(GCE-O) result from my SPM ?

At the results area , do I need to add Bahasa Inggeris Khas ( 1119 ) ?

I am just a SPM leaver though with no O levels .

If I applying for Yayasan TM scholarship , do I need to apply for MMU first ? Or would it be done when my tm scholarship has approved .

hmmm, i am kind of curious whether what kind of master would you looking forward,
there are 2 kind of master, master by course work and master by research,

if you are aiming for master by research,
then perhaps, there are a lot of mmu-alumni working/researching in quite a lot of overseas university.

master by research means you're actually innovating/inventing new things (in a sense that you need to read a lot of research paper / improve their work or make something new),

if it's master by coursework, you will be going through the almost same process like your degree,
attend lecture, do assignment and complete the final exam.

but i guess you just complete your degree first before thinking so much in advance =]

I've applied for Diploma in IT programme at 'Open Day' event last week at Cyberjaya for July intake. Got email from the admission team right after registration saying that if there's no email nor call from them saying if I eligible or not to enroll for the programme after 1 week of application day, I need to send them email.

On thursday, I've send them email. Still no answer. Yesterday, I've ask about it at MMU livechat. They say that they'll prioritise April intake students first. The deadline for April intake for online application is 3rd April. Do I need to wait or call them?

My partner did a software engineering degree with a minor in security systems, so I suppose I can provide some input.

The laptop he used for home assignments was a Lenovo Y500N with i5, 8G RAM, GT750M, and SSD+HDD, along with a Samsung secondary monitor.

He later purchased a 13" MacBook Air for the weight and portability to bring along to lectures/tutorials/labs. The Air has enough processing power to sustain every assignment he had throughout the entire degree.

His general advice (for all users not just devs), is to get an SSD at least for the system disk. He did say he would have bought a tower to make everything easier for himself during uni.
