your info not that accurate.. though payment dont charge you anything. but Paypal will make a dummy transaction to verify your acc (3.75 USD, IIRC) then your next month credit card bill, will show a code beside that payment. you need that code to verify your acc. BUT dont worry, after verify your acc, next time you use paypal to purchase anything. it will deduct 3.75USD from that payment. so conclusion, you need to 'pay' first, get verify then will deduct again in your next transaction.

btw if you want to make more transaction using your Paypal, you can upgrade your acc to Merchant Paypal acc. Unlimited transaction

That charge and credit card bill thing is only if you want to apply for the "expanded use"
If all you want to do is accept payments, all u need to do is key in your CC details and you're done

Edit : okay i get the confusion here, Paypal calls the "expanded use" thing verification too
Either way, if you just need to receive small payments u can do it without the charge (its $1.95 according to them)

without verifying your paypal acc u still can transfer fund or accept fund. there is a limit amount of fund u can transfer if ure not verified if im not mistaken 1k usd. The only thing u need to do is register your paypal account under other country beside malaysia.

As said earlier, you'll need a CC to do that
After completing the first step of adding your CC details, you can accept and send funds but you're limited to sending USD1000 only
The next step to go over the limit is to allow Paypal to charge USD1.95 to your CC which will be refunded to you

no... that is a debit card or ppl call cash card if i not mistaken. Credit Card = Visa, Master, Diner, AMEX and so on.

i have 1 question to ask. lets say i want purchase stuff from ebay, i need to have a paypal account since most ebay uses paypal to complete their transaction.

so if i register for paypal, can i buy paypal funds from ppl like in lowyat selling them and transfer it to my account without verifying?

to simplify the process : is there anyone that sells paypal fund could just bid the item for me in ebay and i just pay him/her accordingly.
