West does not need Isis to justify military spending.
They even spit tons of bs in buying f35 but they never include Isis inside those bs.

Kata’ib Hezbollah, Badr Movement and Asaib Ahl al-Haq groups stated this on Tuesday.

“We will chase and fight any American force deployed in Iraq. Any such American force will become a primary target for our group. We fought them before and we are ready to resume fighting,” Jafaar Hussaini, Kata’ib Hezbollah spokesman said.

This statement followed the US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter claims that Washington will deploy special operations forces to fight ISIS in Iraq. The US special forces will also conduct raids over the border in Syria.

Syrian Army Advances North Towards the Turkish Border in Latakia: 3 Villages Captured

user posted image

The Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard has capitalized on the powerful Russian airstrikes plaguing the Islamist rebels in northern Latakia, capturing several sites that were firmly under the control of the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their allies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) three months ago.

On Tuesday morning in the Latakia Governorate’s northeastern countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Qurdaha, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance) – imposed full control over the strategic village of ‘Arafat after a violent battle with Jabhat Al-Nusra, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Liwaa Suqour Al-Ghaab.

Following the capture of ‘Arafat, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade and their allies advanced to the hilltop villages of Rwaysat Al-Sheikhou and Katf Al-Salat, seizing these sites from the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra and Liwaa Al-Ghaab after pushing northwest from the strategic Jubb Al-Ahmar area of the Prophet Jonah Mountains (Jabal Nabi Younis).

As a result of the Syrian Armed Forces seizing ‘Arafat, they are now in position to strike the imperative mountaintop village of Kabani and the nearby village of ‘Ikko from their positions along Points 1182 and 1254 in the Kurdish Mountains (Jabal Al-Akrad).

The objective of this large-scale offensive in Jabal Al-Turkmen, Jabal Al-Akrad, and Jabal Nabi Younis is to seal the Latakia Governorate’s border with Turkey, while also sealing the Latakia-Idlib axis that has been a thorn in the government’s side since the summer of 2012.

I get that, I was trying to be brief. The point being, short of air to ground SEAD or DEAD work there is nothing an aircraft can do, but suffer being painted by S400 and hope the gunner isn't as trigger happy as the dumbass who shot down MH17. And any nonsense like firing HARMs obviously will trigger WW3.
As I said earlier, the F15Cs were deployed in November in response to Russian incursion into Turkish airspace by a MIG-29 air superiority fighter in early October. Supposedly the fighter even illuminated Turkish F16s flying QRA.

So the better question is what's the point of flying MIG-29s into Turkey? Its not as if Syria is like Singapore, too cramped for flying...
*
First of all, you're the one who relate the deployment of F-15Cs to the Russian deployment of S400. Tetiba forgot what you said?
2nd, since when Russia has MiG-29 in Syria????

Meanwhile the yanks are sending additional F-15Cs to Turkey to fight IS. O wait, someone just said IS has no air power no??
*
You're the one who said this, not me. To which I asked, what is the point of S400 then? Because its certainly not there to shoot ISIS either. Its just yet another escalation courtesy of Putin and his NATO-baiting brinkmanship: S400 is a gun that can only be countered by destroying it and that is impossible. It effectively hinders Western attempts to bomb ISIS which is why no Western aircraft have flown strikes against ISIS since S400 was put in place 28 Nov.

As for the F-15Cs they were in response to the Russian incursions into Turkey. And yes, Russia sent in MIG-29s into Turkey, who *claims* they even illuminated the Turkish F-16s. For which there is no explanation why either.

US Navy to Equip 5 More Destroyers With Aegis Missile Defense Systems

user posted image

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin a $49.1 million modification contract to equip five more DDG51 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers with Aegis ballistic missile defense systems, the US Department of Defense announced.

"This contract will cover the AWS [Air Warfare Systems] ship integration and test efforts for five new construction DDG 51 class ships, and the major modernization of five DDG 51 class ships," the announcement stated on Tuesday.

The contract provides for Aegis shipboard integration engineering, test team support, modernization team engineering support, ballistic missile defense test team support and AWS assessments, according to the Defense Department.

The contract also covers combat system modifications and upgrades for all current ships with all AWS baselines, the Defense Department added.

Russia has repeatedly expressed concern about US plans to dramatically expand its force of Aegis-equipped missile defense warships around Europe, escalating the arms race and upsetting established balance of forces.

Hybrid attacks may trigger NATO's collective defense article, says Stoltenberg

user posted image

BRUSSELS, December 1. /TASS/. NATO foreign ministers have taken a decision, in line with which hybrid attacks may trigger the application of the article on the pact's collective defense, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told a news conference upon the end of the first day of the foreign ministers' conference.

Article 5 of NATO's charter declares that aggression against one member-state shall trigger a military response from all other member-states.

Obama Unleashes Hunter-Killers On ISIS

QUOTE
The task force will be roughly 200 strong, based in northern Iraq, a second senior defense official said.

“You don’t know at night who’s going to be coming in the window. And that’s the sensation that we want all of [ISIS’s] leadership and followers to have.”

It’s the sharp end of the spear that will work with roughly 50 special operations advisers who are deploying to northern Syria later this month, to advise local forces how to fight.

WATCH: ISIS FIGHTER AIMS ROCKET LAUNCHER — ROCKET BLOWS HIM UP INSTEAD [GRAPHIC VIDEO]

QUOTE
A new video appeared online Tuesday, appearing to show an ISIS fighter setting up a shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenade launcher, aiming it out a large hole in the wall of what appears to be an empty or abandoned building — and then receiving a very unpleasant surprise.

The video, which could be disturbing to some viewers, shows the rocket exploding before it fires at whatever target was in the alleged ISIS fighter’s sites. The video abruptly cuts as soon as the explosive rocket detonates.

The fate of the ISIS fighter and the camera operator recording what may have been an attempt to produce footage for an ISIS propaganda video are unknown — as are any further details on the context of the video, such a where and when the violent and presumably fatal accident was filmed, and who retrieved the footage and released it on the internet.

Aircraft carriers are the ultimate symbol of a country’s military power and prestige.

These floating islands of military power take years to build, and they do not come cheap: The first of the US’s new Ford-class of super carrier has a $13 billion price tag.

So yeah, American warn Russian against arming their jets with AA missiles because ISIS has not airforce. But US sent F-15Cs under the pretext of fighting ISIS is OK, even though ISIS has no airforce. That's what I mean.

You're the one who drag in the S400. Not me. Even in your quoting of my post did I mentioned S400???? F-15Cs were sent way before the downing of SU-24 and of course way before the S400 deployment. So why did you link the deployment of F-15Cs to S400???? They are not cause and consequence. That's what I am saying.

Since when Russian deploy MiG-29 to Syria???

That room looks a little too small for RPG. I wonder if he would come out unharmed even if he managed to get the round through the hole.

They're shipped to Malaysia as CKD, so even if the production line halted, they can still produce the parts.

Besides, the Ukranian can still honour the MBT deal with thailand even when they're at war with Russia

North Korea Threatens Turkey With Nuclear Missile Strike

QUOTE
North Korea have threatened Turkey with nuclear missile strikes if they dare to take action against Russia, Ad-Diyar reports. Kim Jong-un has said that if Turkey confronts Russia or continues its support of ISIS in Syria and Iraq, then Pyongyang will not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack against them.

Mizan News agency reports that the North Korean leader has promised to “wipe Turkey off the map”

Ok I reread the news. The Mig-29 which crossed into Turkey is thought to be Syrian. The Russian fighter which crossed into Turkey was a SU-30SM. These incidents happened around October 4 and 5.

Ok perhaps I misread your first post which seemed to be replying to a news about S400 deployment. The F-15Cs were deployed in November in response to the alleged Russian incursions not because of ISIS. Not sure why you keep beating that dead horse.
