all tax-exempted allowances NO NEED to put in e-BE form ... why everyone thinks these figure need to be shown ? It's only in Section G of the EA form for references only.

Your total salary should be deducted accordingly from the allowances

but our company finance department ask us to deduct the amount of Section G from the total income..???? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Your life insurance + EPF (annual figure) should go to that section and it's capped at RM 6k.

in EA Form, allowances and bonuses might be put outside of 'penggajian' depending on company's categorization..

In income tax declaration, all that should be put under "penggajian".. Exempted allowances need not include though...

EA form: B1. Gaji kasar --> BE form: Pengajian
EA form: B1. Fi, komisen, bonus --> BE form: Apa-apa perolehan atau keuntungan lain
EA form: B1. Tip kasar, perkuisit, elaun lain --> BE form: No need to fill up
EA form: G. Jumlah elaun, perkuisit, pemberian, manfaat yang dikecualikan cukai--> BE form: Tolakan cukai seksyen 110 (lain-lain)

Am I tranfering to correct section?

Thanks.

total the amount of red colour into your Pengajian slot

the amount in orange colour just ignore it, not taxable

huys, i need a quick answer

i just realized my 2008 EA form has some new amendments - there's a Part "G" where it states "JUMLAH ELAUN / PERKUISIT / PEMBERIAN / MANFAAT YANG DIKECUALIKAN CUKAI"

So, my question is whether i need to deduct the amount from my total PENGGAJIAN?

example:

PENGGAJIAN in EA: X
PENGECUALIAN in EA: Y
PENGGAJIAN in Form BE: X - Y

hm... the problem is my monthly basic salary x 12 months is much much less than the one stated in PENGGAJIAN

the PENGECUALIAN is more to traveling allowances (living expenses) and the amount is quite substantial (>7k) since I travel more than 1/3 of my annual working days

hm... kinda confusing my company's EA form is

just follow the EA Form, in case anything go wrong, that's your employer's fault. unless the difference is really substantial

Calculating tax is not just basic salary x 12.
Must include other income like 13/14 mth bonus, year end bonus, special bonus, incentives, KPI, allowance, etc.
Refer back your payslip and total it up. If not tally, please ask the finance dept to clarify.

the exemption covers earning of RM7,000+, which is also the difference between the taxable income

thus the tax amount differs about RM 400+ (7%, since the tax bracket is upped) if i exclude the PENGECUALIAN

the bonus is declared under PENDAPATAN TAHUN KEBELAKANGAN YANG BELUM DILAPORKAN and and has it's tax pre-deducted already, so basically it's covered.

just ignore the exempted income, that's all

for the bonus, actually you have to revised the 2007 Tax Computation. But if you are lazy, just put it into the PENDAPATAN TAHUN KEBELAKANGAN YANG BELUM DILAPORKAN and wait for further action by them

first of all, penggajian is the amount of salary paid by company to you..so it is not only basic salary but also include overtime, bonuses, allowances and incentives...

As certain allowances are given exemption (capped to a certain amount), you therefore need not declare such allowance under 'penggajian' in your BE form...

As for your case, it would be best to clarify with your HR on the method they used to fill in your EA form...just to avoid mistakes on your part when you fill in the BE form...

IF your travel allowance is lets say RM10K per year and the max amount for exemption is RM6K, perhaps your HR had already fill in your EA Form as allowance exempted RM6K and the balance RM4K inlcuded in your penggajian?? hmm.gif better check it out..

As stated in the Nota Penerangan BE, sports equipment includes any equipment for sports, and also short span equipment such as shuttle or golf balls BUT excluding sports wear such as shoes or sports shirts.

I think that simply means, anything you wear can't be claim. Anything you used can be claim.

does it also include purchase of golf sets? (sorry if it sounds stupid)..
