good to get it pinned, but current pinned topics are already too long, impacting user experience to the forum.

scroll to the top, 1/3 of the screen is the lyn banner, the rest all pinned topics. gotta scroll to 2nd page baru can see the relevant topics.

was thinking to propose the pinned topics to be in a separate section, can collapsible like Kopitiam's. perhaps wKkaY can do something about it?

I've removed 2-3 stale pinned topics. You can also "star" the forum so that it shows up in your starred forum list on the home page.

so for the moment, i put that under 4814..
if you have latest MCC, i can move it to 4900

from HLB Wise Post 2, TNB via UOBpayonline is tagged as UTILITIES, which is MCC 4900.

is it paying bills (phone,eletricity etc) in some of the grocery store that offers bill payments options, will result to the mcc code for groceries too? or is it different code already?

not many, if not all, grocery stores doesnt allow bill payment, especially using credit cards.

one exception so far is Sam's Groceria, that we were made aware recently that accept bill payment using credit cards, and Sam's is under MCC 5411, Grocery category.

the transaction relationship is like this (simplified, general idea):

1) Grocery store links to a specific payment gateway service, e.g. popular one is ePay
2) Grocery store initiate payment to ePay.
3) ePay pays to bill payees (e.g. TM or TNB or etc).
4) Grocery store charge you for the payment.
5) You pay the Grocery store as usual, using credit cards.
6) Credit card banks recognizes the Grocery store under MCC 5411 category (if MCC is properly & correctly registered )


what grocery stores in your mind? share share the location(s), so that other adventurous forumers can try


p/s: Even Petronas service stations allow bill payment cuz they are using ePay too. Other could try swiping their cards to pay bills, possibly under Petrol category with MCC 5541.

For uob vox / cimb cash rewards / ambank true, i can confirmed transaction at 11street and lazada is under online category.

For hlb wise, any payment at mobile kiosk machine or counter confirmed under mobile category. Yes 4G also under mobile if pay or reload via their website.
