damn had a minor accident today. Was going to Setapak to buy the boot tray for my iriz. On my way there on the highway, the lorry in front of me veered to the right lane and suddenly there was those plastic barricades they use during construction in front of me. I actually wanted to exit left when I was behind that lorry. But when I saw those barricades, I tried moving to the exit lane (left) but there was a car (C class merz). So i just slammed the break. The sht stock tyres didnt give enough grip so I slid graciously to the plastic barricades, hitting and pushing them lol. I was going probably 50km/h when i slammed the breaks, and the road was wet. Luckily no damage.
So yeah. Getting Michelin PS3 soon.

Did you slam on the brakes hard enough to trigger Brake Assist?

Also, if your car is new you should avoid leaving the engine running in idle for long periods of time. It damages the engine and the manual says it too. Carbon starts to build up inside your engine and on the head of the cylinder, and your car is putting the fan hard at work since there's no air running through the radiator and it needs the fan on to keep cool.

My two cents.

Thnx...i will keep that in mind.. rclxms.gif

Did you feel your seatbelt suddenly tighten? That happens when BA kicks in.

Yeah I went to ask too. I want to tint the windows, Malaysia is soooooo hot. Are these RayTech the real ones? I don't want bubbles and reduced heat rejection in two years.

They quoted me for 1100, the whole car with 4mil with 70% visible light blocking.

Minus the RM 300 voucher.

I read somewhere that some people pay up to 2000 for the same,  I'm just concerned these are not real.

What do you mean are they real ones? I think depends on brand and other things which can make it up to RM 2k. So far mine is good. Security at the sides and front and rear i forgot what their using.

There's another forum here in LYF all about window tint. Many users say that they have started imitating different brands and selling them at the price of the original one and then the warranty doesn't apply in all stores just in the one you visited for the install.

I guess it's just safer to go straight to the authorized distributor of RayTech and have them quote me.

I changed my tyre to Dunlop SP Sport J5 straight after out from showroom, opted for the wider 185/60 R14 (1.3cvt).
Note that Dunlop is made by Continental. I urge all members to trade in shitverstone and get better tyres as soon as possible.

"The two newest Dunlop Formula D05 and SP Sport J5 are both categorized as rain tyre with top wet performance. We start with the Formula D05, not to be confused with Formula Drift, the tyre ranks at the top of the range, thanks to its 100 percent engineered with German Technology recognition."

Conti got CC5 for 15" size, but CC5 no good, only average.
Michelin got PS3 (super good, i think klang can get rm200) and XM2 (naaahh dun get this one).
GY got really good 6 month worry free assurance, get the Eagle F1 Directional 5(super super good). tayar koyak, bocor or bulging due to road hazard, can get exchange.

Good morning, Guys i wanna ask something. I'm disappointed with my car(iriz) so many small problem, but now i starting to encounter this weird problem. Now i'm having hard time to start my car, 5 times or more try maybe will succeed and so many times engine warning light show up.

Last time this Engine warning light show up it will be switched off after i restart the car for few times but yesterday after i FAIL to start my car on 8th try, the engine warning light not switch off. Until now after dozen times restarting my car the warning still light up..

Should i ignore this engine warning light or straight go Service center and tell them about my problem? anyone here encountered the same problem as me?
