Thanks!
Need to test drive first..i'm not a vroom2 guy haha but the fuel consumption do matters to me. But otr price, the IRIZ is much better atm..with a lot more safety features
*
Yeap do test drive both cars, to see which you prefer.

Hmm, fuel consumption matters as in how? Very strict budget?
Basically Axia real world FC is around 15~17km per liter of petrol while Iriz FC figures around 12~14km per liter.

Roughly, Axia full tank gives you around 600km. Iriz full tank gives you around 500km.
Which translates to around RM 15 more for petrol on the Iriz.

Yes bro, you're right. Unfortunately it just unlocks the boot, and will still have to be manually opened. I find the feature quite redundant for Premium spec owners because it's faster to just open it manually while the keyfob is in their pocket.

I dream of the day when Iriz boot lids open and close at the touch of a button like in more expensive cars tongue.gif
*
yeap, I don't think i've ever used that function other than to test it out.. Cause still have to press button at the boot to open it. So no difference using remote or not..

I have been driving the iriz for 2 months plus now and I notice is rather hard to honk properly. Sometimes no sound at all after pressing. Asked the service centre people and he said this is a standard problem -.- and no solution from him. They say if fix may void airbag warranty. What bullshit? Got into a few dangerous situations where I tried to honk but failed. Anybody faced the same issue? Any advice?

Probably the first report I've seen of a faulty honk.

Never had this issue ever. Which SC did you go to?

went out of town for some errands and was hazy outside, so switch on the lights during daytime, as usual forgot to turn it off after parking but thank god the car's smart and sounded an alert. very pleased with it.. saved me from the hassle of searching for jump start later on.
recall 4 months ago with my previous car left my lights on a whole day by accident and was stranded out of town as battery died out...

Believe me if your luck is not as good as mine, your iriz rattling will become worse but somehow my iriz still a lil bit better because my A pillar doesnt produce sound only the door/steering/dashboard center area/belt(need to adjust every time product sound and sometimes spoiler) as for door you can just put piece of paper between the gap like the picture provide by our geng on previous post.. as for dashboard got people solve by opening the airbag spot(underneath steering middle area) as for dashboard i still haven't found solution..

Yup a test drive will help you a lot.
Iriz is an awesome car if you like driving and are more into cars as it needs a lil TLC.
Axia is a no brainer car which will get you from point A to B with nothing more, nothing less in it. whistling.gif

Don't ask sc to solve the dashboard rattling sound, they are very unprofessional.

See the pics.

They use wind scrren or air-con rubber and stick to the dashboard ( the black soft rubber ), still didn't solve the problem.

My Solution : DIY

Look at the Left Pillar A
Attached Image

See the Black Soft Sponge W X L X H 1 cm X 5 cm X 1 cm

Insert 1.5 cm to 2 cm length to the plastic soft cover which is on the pillar A and insert 3.5 cm to 4 cm length to the dashboard.

By using the plastic ruler with round edge because the dash and the pillar A cover easy to scratch.

This is the final result with immediate effect. icon_rolleyes.gif

I think Proton have to look on this matter. vmad.gif

Very diplomatic response bro! Hahaha. Yes, everything mentioned is right, so you must take that into consideration.

By right, Iriz and Axia cannot be compared because they're not direct competitors. But since he mentioned that the Iriz can  match the Axia a little closer in terms of price, I say go for the Iriz and never look back.

You get a WHOLE LOT MORE safety features with the Iriz which imo outweighs little unimportant-but-nice-to-have things like touch screen, bodykits etc

definitely a test drive would be important..by the way, during test drive, what aspect should I observe? handling, cornering, etc?
