No problems. You're good at that: reading between the lines and assuming. I guess "you can do no wrong". nod.gif

Now where have I hear that statement before? nod.gif

Anyone buying this? Great deal 6s for RM2999? Local manufacturer warranty is from Apple itself right?

The add says Rm3199. Is this the right link you posted?
It cant be Local Manufacturer warranty as the 6s/6s+ is not launched here yet.

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Oct 5 2015, 10:46 AM)
I started using the 6S+ 64 since Friday. My impressions compared to the 6+ I had previously:

1. Battery life is a lot better. I am not sure if it's because of iOS or the chip but it obviously last much longer compared to my 6+

2. Speed is amazing. If you play games then you would notice everything loads up so much faster and graphics are crisp. Apart from that, I also notice faster 4G/Wifi on the same network so the new LTE chip in the phone did make a huge difference.

3. On paper the weight says 20g heavier. While it seems quite substantial (we're talking about 10% increase in weight), it's negligible.

4. The 3D Touch might not be very useful at this point in time because you can still easily navigate through normal methods.

5. The extra RAM makes iOS a lot smoother and you don't need to get into Safari waiting for the page to refresh. It stays as per where you left and same behavior like the iPad Air 2 which I have.

Conclusion: Overall, it's a great buy and am happy with it biggrin.gif

Nice Review.

Questions to your reviews

1) Could battery life be better because the 6S+ had a new battery while your 6+ had a worn out battery?

2) Both the 6+ and 6S+ supports the latest Gen 2 LTE networks. But if you say faster 4G and Wifi I wonder why?

3) Thats reasonable. 20grams is not noticeable.

4) That we need to get the hang of it before being to fully utilize it.

5) Im sure the 2GB ram makes a lot of difference. But the main issue is that Safari doesnt needs to restart every time and that makes a lot of difference to me as I really hate the refresh everytime I open safari. thumbup.gif

Overall seems like a worthy upgrade even though the high price. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Oct 5 2015, 12:07 PM)
Thanks boss, my answers:

1) I bought the 6 when it was launched last year and changed to 6+ after that. Both are new units. I am very sure that even when I started using the 6+, the battery life was no match compared to 6S+. Normally the 6+ would last me  a full day but the 6S+ goes all the way until the next day biggrin.gif I guess it must be the new A9 chip being more energy efficient.

2) I guess the iOS 9 Wifi Assist helps after all? For LTE, you can certainly feel the big difference. Loading websites are almost instant while the 6+ takes a bit more time. I am on Maxis btw.

*
1) My 6+ could easily get me through minimum 2 days usage. But then again it depends on the individual usage.

2) The 6+ with IOS 9 does come with Wifi Assist too. But I turn it off as I dont want data to be utilized when Im on Wifi. Maybe I should turn it back on and see if its much faster. nod.gif

3 of my SG friends data quota finished because of this. So it's wise to turn off unless any exceed data will not be charged smile.gif

If your wifi somehow become disconnected or something, the phone will automatically switch to your data plan. Imagine you are downloading a movie or a big app. sweat.gif Thats why I turned it off on day one I upgraded to IOS 9.

all verizon iPhones are factory unlocked, as required by US law. whether on contract or not, IINM.

and starting from september 2015, ALL iPhones are factory-unlocked when bought from Apple directly at full price.

for warranty peace of mind, buy sprint/verizon/t-mobile. that's the model sold in asia. DO NOT BUY AT&T.

Thats great info. Maybe winkiedilwy can post this up on the first page so that people need not ask this question over and over again.

Last night RM3199 for 6s 16gb gold. Today RM3119 for 6s 16gb silver. Both can apply coupon code via Lazada mobile app discount RM200. Last night deal expired by 12am. Supposedly will be the same tonight.
*
I heard Singapore dealers have a hard time disposing 16gb stocks and have to resort to giving discounts to get rid of them. Wonder why Apple still keep making them.

Yeah using discount code
Got any source of this? The price after convert should be around rm3200..any deal below should be considered cheap.
*
Read somewhere in the Singapore Hardware Zone forums under Iphone 6s / 6Ss availability. And yes, for Rm2919 for a 16GB 6S is damn cheap.

I'm checking Digi mainpage right now, estimating the price with contract from Iphone 6 plan. Considering we can save on 6% GST on Lazada, thats another RM175+. Condisering this right now.
*
GST is already included in Iphone prices in Malaysia.

10% cimb mastercard stop working for most of great item long time ago. Haha, maybe some Lazada agent is here watching we discuss about this thing?
*
There is no need. Lazada only sells a few units at this price and takes the ad off once the few units are sold off. laugh.gif

so simple

if they stop produce 16GB, and go for 32/64/128, many will buy 32GB, so their 64 will be less and less people buying biggrin.gif

marketing strategy i believe, making some people go for 64GB
*
I meant why didnt they just start of with 64gb.

I also hope so then I can get the phone 1st day of the launch, but this is not the case last year, doubt things will be different this year. If order only available 16-Oct in Apple store then we should be only getting the phone following Monday my estimation.
*
Im pretty sure this round, judging by the sales of the 6s/6s+ in Singapore, there should be enough stocks for everyone.
