your red tux ok?
sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif Enough poison for now... Let me further polish my skill first. Now already got my hands tied with 3 x 3 compartment tanks... Haha. Yeah, the red tux are doing fine. My no.1 prized possession now.

Dear sifu, any guides on how to setup system tank ?
I know Multilevel rack, 3 compartment in 2 feet tank, lighting
But not sure how to do piping, filtering, air supply

For rack system, what type of lighting is suitable? Normal fluorescence light or LED?

Now I know the advantage of using individual tanks compare to 3 compartment 2feet tank... it will be easier to do thorough cleaning if using individual tanks... sweat.gif

sure, let me know. =)
DIY is also not easy. unless you are very handy. otherwise, i would pay for someone to do it....
*
Erm, I like DIY... every weekend do a bit. Haha... enjoy the process. But seems like there are few types of setup as well, some outlet on top, some at the bottom, some individual filtration, some has sump tank filtration... cant find a good guide on the net on this

QUOTE(tehoice @ Sep 13 2016, 02:44 PM)
rack is more for breeding purposes. you can then have a "show tank", where you can house all of the nice guppies in one tank.

but to breed nice guppies, you need to do selective breeding.

Get both show tank and breeding rack, best of both world... win win... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

UPDATE on my dropsy infected guppy..

well, im not sure what happen..basically, after i found out that the fish not in good condition,i immediately transfer it to my other tank, to be precise my blackwater tank(plan it for biotope)..it only have temporary cherry shirmps at the moment..i think everyone here know that tannin is basically good for fish right?.as i intended to do biotope, i only put ketapang leaves into it..probably from several month ago and add another leaves when the tannin seem abit clearer..so back to the story, later i just observed that my infected guppy scale slowly looking better than the picture above..seems like it back to normal with actively eating food, not staying silently on water surface and looking excited as i coming close to the tank..bear in mind i dont use any medication at all other than the tannin..

so, not sure if the fish got lucky with the infection, or the tannin that helps it recover..maybe this would be an alternative treatment for your guppy if it happen to be infected with dropsy.

Keep us updated, would love to know if tannin really helps

feeling very sad, seem like my tank got some virus.
Some of my guppies tail keep rotting and less than a week it will die.

Anybody got any solution?

Some photos will be easier for us to identify... usually if just tail rot, will not die so easily. It could be trichodina as well, which will 'eat' the tail.
