QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 18 2016, 11:04 PM) Only local number at least that I'm aware of. Why not working anymore? Already terminated? If you want to retain your MY banking, TAC is still needed... If it is just that you can't receive SMS or anything that means your roaming is not turned on, just get your telco to enable for you. Then, you can receive SMS. Receiving SMS is free. No issue for me to receive SMS when I'm abroad. QUOTE(bananalow @ Feb 18 2016, 11:08 PM) U terminate your phone number already? I think MY phone number still play an important role to receive the TAC. I guess u just need a prepaid number and extend the validity for one year. Then bring It over to Sg and u still can receive the tac without any charges. cant receive sms.. hmm. i turn off roaming no wonder. i thought it will charge me

So, after you slot in SIM card still receive no signal means your phone doesn't have roaming enabled. You will need to call your telco to enable it for you. You cannot turn on roaming in a way, it is there automatically. Only data can be turned on and off.

I guess yours is postpaid which need activation by calling customer service. Another way is search for network in phone and try to connect manually. Sometimes the phone cant auto connect to the operator. Maxis- Singtel Digi- Starhub

QUOTE(marcross @ Feb 19 2016, 09:38 AM) Is it postpaid or prepaid the same? No charge for receiving sms and calls abroad? No charge for receiving SMS but for calls once you pick up, roaming charges apply. So long your roaming is turned on, no need to worry about TAC and OTP. I never have issue paying my bills from overseas. This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 19 2016, 09:47 AM

Postpaid - need to call customer service/go to branch to activate roaming Prepaid - auto roaming for Digi. not sure about other telcos remember to deactivate DATA roaming otherwise, it'll be very expensive for postpaid for Digi, you can extend the credit expiry for 1 year. cost about rm 38. no charge for receiving sms abroad

Recently, I tried to pay my Digi bill online using AMEX. However, it couldn't get through because it says "The merchant does not support AMEX." It's kinda wasting as I can't earn 5 points per RM1 spent. But srsly Digi doesn't accept AMEX?

Well, there are people who feedback to Digi about this to allow AmEx via its app. Let's see if they will pick up. I'm one of their app testers. Anyway, it's not important for me because I get 10% cash back using my HLB Wise.

Hopefully they will allow Amex. It will be so nice for Amex users to gain more points.
