south korea need visa, but the process seems pretty simple.
as for what to get:
1. cosmetics
2. instant noodle (shin)
3. sea weed
4. hair pin/clips
5. photos, since you are going during CNY, look out for cherry blossoms (supposed to be as nice as japan, if not better)

korean ginseng, the top grade ones are not cheap

just back from s.korea with my family follow the tours company.wat i can say is it was rly a good place to have fun.suitable for teen n adults. korea famous is kimchi n ginseng.go to s.korea no need visa.but the things in korea r so exp.the only things u can buy at s.korea is the shirts n pants n also those mee cup which i think cheaper than malaysia but other than tht is so exp.if u go restaurant eat n paid urself,it also exp than here.

it is best to go there during winter or fall. you can get also halal food, but mostly in Itaewon.

the best thing in Seoul is, you'll never be afraid to walk around after midnight only by yourself. I've done it. safer than Malaysia, hahahaha...

but with winter thr a lot of thing can c.if thr was snowing then many thing cant play at thr de like ski n theme park.

I'm planning to go to Korea end of April. Wondering how much is needed for 8 days tour? Is Cheju island worth visiting? Any recommended travel agency? Do I need an adaptor to use the switch in Korea??

is need to c whether u wan go thr to buy many things or not.but my family,which got 8 ppl include my bro gf n only take RM5k to korea.we not buy many things at thr coz it was so exp.noly buy some snack from thr.n still got some money left when go back malaysia.we just go thr for 5days.
