been to Yangji for skiing, and the trip to go there from Seoul is for free.

You can also get a free subway ride by getting the free tickets at the counter, but you've to makeup yourself to look older, huhuhu.

[WTA] Are slopes crowded? Skiers courteous? Snowboard kamikaze nightmares? Rental equipment OK?

Could you say more about all these free rides, who is eligible, where to arrange?

Ive been to S.Korea 2 years ago. Went to Jeju(Cheju) Island too. Yeap, language is definitely a big headache there. No 1 speaks english, but mandarin would help a little as some of them would understand a tiny bit. Seoul's traffic is as bad as KL. 99% of vehicles are Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo doh.gif . Only seen a few MerCs and Peugeots.

Food wise, it's all kimchi, porridges, BBQ style rice+pork/beef. Kinda got sick of it after a few times. Went to Mt. Sorak, and had a little hike. Nice view from the top. Been to Everland and An Indoor Theme Park (can't remember the name) . What's good about them is, their Toilets Are Super CLean, even at rural areas. Also, not to forget, the Nude sauna Bath. U hav to try, i was a bit 'shy' as it's not our custom, but ppl there were used to it. smile.gif

Overall, nice trip. U should see how advance is their mindset and thinking compared to other countries. Chicks are definitely prettier overall, compared to Malaysians

all people working in Frontliner like cashiers, police, custom are all good looking... koreans priority is Personal care and Fashion... when they leave their home , they have to look clean. Food is not priority in Korea, malaysian have more meals than koreans.

Their condos all look the same. Malaysian heavy duty on wastage on property money like Renovation and Decoration.. koreans house are simple and don't use a lot of Plasma TV like we do.. We are the potential customers for Koreans Businessman..

actually we are stupid, they leave within their means and work hard to survive every pence. We work hard to have a good lifestyle and pay the banks.

Product quality and branding is important too in Korea , thats why all their stuff looks perfect in packaging and do try its coffee and banana milk . Their noodles even perfected and not as soggy like our Maggi Mee.. They hate our Maggi Mee by the way..

Don't ever plan a trip to Korea by your ownself unless you know how to speak korean language...Visit Korea during winter for skiing is the best time but it will be very expensive...

take a tour package, as comfortable accomodation and proper local food (don't tell me you want to got there just for shin instant noodle and fast food only) aren't cheap.
went there last year, and from my calculation based on the room and food price listed, the total is around, is not more that the package price, and that's before air ticket (total 4 flights to and from korea, and another to and out of cheju).
each lunch and dinner (pretty good ones are provided) would cost >RM100 per person based on the list price after conversion, and one of the hotel i stayed cost >RM500 per night (from the price list also)
my package cost 3400 per person for 8 days 7 nights, IIRC
i went during october for the autumn view. for winter, try december.
