Yeah, true. That's what I'm worry about.  sad.gif  But my budget is within 3K only for the package. Can I get a decent trip for that price? I dun really mind if the hotel is 3 star, but not below than that la...coz most of the time we won't be at the hotel also.

BTW, has anyone go thru LT Travel & Tours before? I've enquired on Reliance & Excellence but it's out of my budget. Maybe their hotel & food provided has better quality.
*
usually they provide a 2-3 stars hotel but if u get a high class then is different lar.but 2-3 stars is not bad also.

i also got heard n saw Reliance agency also when i in korea n i saw the guider looks like so bz n run here n thr...like many thing also not yet ready.mayb tht guider is new comer or wat lar...u can try to ask about the agency tht i used if u dun mind but i duno whr it locate.only know it call as Klang Travel&Tours

excellence advertised a package with cheju from 2588 onwards
you can check out with them
do remember to ask about admission, if it's covered, get them to write down in black and white

as for weather, it seems like this year's winter came late, therefore, the spring is also late
when i went last year, autumn started late and the guide mentioned that winter will come later
go during spring to see cherry blossom!

I called up already. That price is for low season, June onwards. sad.gif As for April, after tax, tipping, processing fee and etc etc...is 3500 for April departure.

Is the price worth this much?? rclxub.gif

Anyway, please bear in mind that some economical package offered by the agencies maybe due to a few factors:

1. Hotel (Maybe 2-3 Stars rather than 4-5 stars)
2. Number of places visit
3. Food quality
4. Is it everything included? Or Some activities the users have to pay by themself?
smile.gif  Anyway, Enjoy it wink.gif

wow, seems like a pretty bad publicity for harmony
anyway, here are some comments:
1. the korean tour guide is actually sent by the tourism ministry, or at least controlled by the ministry. generally, the genuine ones are very professional and doesn't pressure or bring the group to shop. they'll bring you to what's on the itinerary. some shops do give commissions, but not all. An advice is, do not rush into buying when you arrive. take your time and try to negotiate a good deal, it gets better as the group is about to leave (applicable for ginseng, cordyceps)
2. for souvenirs such as chopstick, fridge magnet, etc, they are everywhere. you can see at least one outside every restaurant, or at least nearby. Prices can be bargained, but not much, even at places like dongdaemun. Unlike our petaling street or those china tours
3. as for the shop near the airport, go there to get your shin ramen and seaweed, the rest get else where. They'll help you pack into boxes (depending on amount of course) for easier shipment and you stuff is subject to less transport (compared to buying at other places earlier). therefore, the noodle and seaweed (all fragile stuff) won't end up crushed. you can get the korean pillow there too, price is pretty reasonable.
4. if the package include Everland, do check whether they cover entrance only or it comes with the Big5 ticket. Big5 includes the ticket for 5 different rides and cost more than the plain entrance ticket.
5. on to the hotels, korean hotels give small towel as bath towel and IIRC, toiletteries are not provided.

if you can travel from penang, i can recommend you a good agency
as for the price, it is the normal rate for standard package

Thanks for the important info! I'll put that in mind. smile.gif

Also, whenever anyone wants to buy food stuff from Korea, remember to check the expiry date. My aunt bought a few boxes of shin ramen back, but all of them have expired. doh.gif

i came back from korea last december. i am not familiar with seoul but i know nami island is quite far away from seoul. about 40 minutes drive or so.. maybe more... u can guide daily tours to nami island. try visiting the korean tourism organization office near city hall. or maybe u can take up the DMZ tour too..

and the voltage is different. its like 2 round pin.

I've seen the travel packages from newspaper, 6 days is about (start from) RM 1788 and 8 days (start from) RM 2388... is that the current market price..?
I think the travel spots is almost the same in every travel company.. hmm.gif

My parent's going to Korea in a few days..... what is there to buy huh?

Clothes will be erm... inappropriate i guess since it is winter there now.
Anything that can be used in daily life and feel "korean-ish" ?
