Mid Dec. Will be there for 6D6N (bcos flight back via AA -on the 5th nite till nxt Morning..haha)
Backpacking style-Yes. So motels & guesthouse is OK. Thinking of going to 1) DMZ (main priority), 2) All the royal Joseon ancient palaces, 3) all the remaining 3 Seoul gates (Too bad the 4th western gate (Soedaemun) bombed by Japanese in Early 1900 liao & the 3rd recently opened 3rd Northern gate need 1 week advance permit??- hmnnn inside one of the palace compound wor) , 4) Joseon kings & queens graveyard 5) abit of shopping at dongdaemun, isadong & probably COEX mall as well 6) Visit nearby ski resort but not skiing - dunno they allow ppl entry without skiing or not? (haha) 7) Nami Island - dunno what to do there also - snap photos of poplar trees? 8) Probably stay 1 nite at Incheon upon arrival? Well these are my preliminary planning..still subject to change..For me I'm more towards nature, cultural & history thigies rather than shopping & makaning..haha This post has been edited by stimix: Aug 18 2010, 11:45 AM |

Been doing research for days dy..There are limited winter shops in KL i.e Universal Traveler (having lotsa branches & major malls in Klang Valley), Winter Time & also Goin Places (Probably the oldest & cheapest as I was told). Now is mega sales best timing liao...I think they are available at Ikano, One U, Sunway Pyuramid, Mid Valley & more..Shopping this weekend or within this few days haha..
QUOTE(sfwong1 @ Aug 17 2010, 02:34 PM) stimix im going around dec also, mind sharing with me where u buying your jacket and the budget, now i also donno where to get those jacket.... Added on August 17, 2010, 3:14 pmAt 1st I have the same idea too but after checking my relatives, brother, & also friends, most of them having those Autumn/spring jacket that only can sustained 5C & above & anything below 5C..the down jacket...they don't have or kept at their oversea house liao..haizzz..Furthermore, dun really wanna borrow..later fren complain sweat very smelly Actaully as what mentioned by huiyin, if dunwan down jacket, can use the normal fleece jacket (Wth syntetic fether or polyyester but you need lotsa layer of clothing..atleast 3 layers i.e 1st alyer long john, 2nd layer sweater & 3rd layer the jacket (Either fleece or syntectic) no need down liao like dat But you must remember, the quoted Dec temperature at Seoul during mid Dec of -3 to 3 C is just a guidance, I was told temeprature during Dec can be as low as -20C!! QUOTE(Derwyn @ Aug 17 2010, 02:38 PM) Im also goin from early to mid december...probably will just borrow jacket from some frens who have them, dun feel like buying cos i dun think will be traveling very often to cold countries.hehe This post has been edited by stimix: Aug 17 2010, 03:23 PM |

U better start watching now..I'm already on episode 4...boring at first but gettin kammtong after Joo Sang passed away & now she saw a new Joo Sang..she so emo now QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Aug 17 2010, 11:46 PM) I went to Universal travellers and WinterTime Sunway Pyramid last weekend and I can tell you their winter jackets were all China made but price it RM300+/-. Glove selling at RM49. I bought in china RM10 nia can use liau. That's my priority. The tree background is so very the famous. I must take the 12 mega pixels picture ( the highest pixel setting of my digital camera) with me and my GF riding a bicycle, then come back print it out big big and frame it up on the wall. My GF will sure drop death sayang me liao Note: I've never watch Winter Sonata the drama. |

I already list down all the famous attractions surrounding Seoul on pg1 & all having link to wikimapia maps/gps locations.
Do contribute & update if you find any so that I can update 1st page. Hope this list will be useful for those going on budget/backpacking style without having buying package! https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...=0#entry9195860 |
