Just got myself 3 Down jackets at Going Places (GP) BU Centrepoints & also Universal Travelers (UT) Y'day.. 10% discount on down jackets at UT & GP, 20% at Winter Times but their jacket so heavy and cheapest RM369..after discount still more expensive than the lighter 10% discounted at GP & UT. UT, even having 30-40% discount on Down jackets but too bad guys down already grabbed..only left ladies' downs...which I bought earlier at GP ...B4 discount, UT & GP cheapest at RM299 & RM249 respectively..

Almost complete liao.. except mittens, wool socks & probably hot pack & still wondering need leather winter padded shoes or not. UT selling children size for RM90 & adult for ~ RM110

WT got 20% -lah but the cheapest at RM369..after discount = RM295.

UT the 30-40% discount only for ladies down. Guys only 10% anyway the have the cheapest RM299 down & after discount = RM269. Sumore that light down is 90% vera piuma goose down & 10% feather..goose down I heard the best compare to duck down..hmnnn not sure..haha

For other accesories, I think Goin Places much cheaper (BU centrepoint)..Even their socks only RM19.90 b4 discount..cheaper than those in UT & WT.

End of the year- sked no more sales liao..so better get now..bcos they know end of the year ppl sure go Holiday & no winter sale period? well not sure..Just that I abit kiasu now haha

Hmnn y'day I went in Suway Jusco too..no down jacket wor..just the normal jacket nia..all maybe went to the wrong section liao

Feb weather still freezing what. still -4 to 3 c just like in December!

Huh what's wrong I thought u want snow & etc? Dec to Feb is best time liao..Nov is the end of Autumn. no snow yet & all ski resort will not be opening for business till end of Nov

Before you buy those sub-RM100, pls check also the down content hor. Atleast 90% down & 10% feather. If RM85 is really 90% down..really good bargain liao..but if <90% down, better prepare xtra sweater + wool long john liao

Check the inner side label. It will state the % of down. Normally 90:10, 80:20 & the the cheaper one will be ~ 70:30 or even 50:50.

Goto Korea Plaza at MUI Plaza & get the Korean tourist guide book. there is a list consist of 10++ Halal Indian restaurants listed there + their mosques too

Celaka..I got it for only 10% discount haizzzz..

I opt for ski resort closer to Seoul to reduce traveling time. Now planning to Konjiam Ski resort which is just South of Seul suburb near Suwon.

Other than shopping (Which is also not my cup of tea), Ancient Korean histories and their best preserved ancient palaces, Kings' Tombs where few of them are part of UNESCO world heritage sites are worth a visit.

Also numerous ski resorts, the DMZ zone & etc.

From the earlier info posted here, avg dinner or lunch is about 4,000-6,000 won which is triple the equivalent amth in KL. i.e ~ RM12- RM20 per meal.

For eg..check the Today best money changer rate for won - 1000won=RM2.95 http://wawasanmoneychanger.com.my/exchangeRates.asp

Whereas, Bank Negara qouted rate as Today is 1000won to RM2.768 http://www.bnm.gov.my/statistics/exchangerates.php

You will be instantly lost RM0.185 for every ringgit you change in Malaysia. But be warned. I'm not sure whether Icheon money changer having good rate or not unless someone can find any money changr online rate to verify this if converting to US$ & thereafter to Won.

Air Asia during promotion, you can even get RM260 to & fro inc tax haha..I got mine for RM300/pax all-in but if you excl the insurance & etc, probably only RM260.

Well not easy to get-lah...must fight wth others uding promotion period & booking normally >9 mths ahead of schedule..

Still thinking whether to get long johns or not...since already having down jacket..UT selling 1 set at RM59 now..earlier, RM79.
