Try going to the surrounding countries 1st if you wanna maximise your ringgits.

Maybe Vietnam/Indonesia/Thailand.

Read my edited post = ) .

U can go singapore , thailand ? Both also quite low budget. thailand better , you can probably spend more ..

or maybe somewhere local ? Redang or something ?

If you want to budget a holiday for 2 overseas like Korea and what not, i would recommend you budget 8k = )

at the very least = ) inclusive of tour and spending

U can try looking at China routes from airasia.
Hangzhou, guilin etc...quite affordable with ur budget.
Somemore our money here is about 2x RMB.

I am currently working in hangzhou, my gf came last few weeks back.
Flight ticket to fro was RM500+, came here one week spent RM1500 excluding hotel.

A decent hotel room is around RMB100-250 per night in hangzhou depending on location and rating.

Hi, I'm new here and would like to ask for help. My sister and I will be visiting S. Korea before the month ends for 6 days. Based on the research we've done, we're interested in visiting the following places: Korean Folk Village, Namsan Tower, Busan, Soraksan National Park, Dongdaenum, Namdaenum, Insadong, Kyongbok Palace, National Folklore Museum, Presidential Blue House, Gyongju City, Nami Island, Jeju Island (btw, what makes Jeju special?), Mt. Sorak, War Memorial, Itaewon, Fountain of Banpo Bridge, Changdeokgung Palace (is this the primary location of Jewel in the Palace? how does it differ from the one in MBC Cultural Valley?). I know it's too ambitious to get to visit all these in 6 days but we're just wishing we could maximize our stay to that level. wink.gif Oh yes, we'll have to skip some. Help please? Can any one help us group the mentioned tourist spots according to proximity so that we can make our sched for each day please? Which ones may be missed among the ones mentioned? We'll be very grateful for any information. Thanks in advance! smile.gif

Me too planning to go to Korea for my honeymoon during winter time. Which tour agency is the best without being ripped off? I heard that some tour agency cheat by bringing people to lower grade hotel as compared to what they stated in their brochures and itinerary. Any suggestion and advice?

yes that's quite a lot to do in 6 days.

for locations in Seoul, suggest u only do 2-3 locations per day (especially since some locations are only open or better to visit during the day.

fyi, soraksan national park already covers sorak mountain. take note that this needs a 6 hour drive close to the eastcoast town of seokcho if u really want to do this (and best for sunrise/sunset views).

flying to and fro from jeju will already take up 1-2 days at the very least.

in seoul itself, u will walk like there's no tomorrow if u take the subway. good luck.

Nami island is worth a day trip visit, only less than 2 hrs away from Seoul. U can take a direct bus in Insadong which leaves at 930am and come back at 4pm. It is where they filmed Winter Sonata back in early 2000s. Beautiful poplar trees and nice time to go in autumn to see the changing colors of the trees.

You can only go alone with the budget of Rm3-4k

friend, i suggest you to save more money until 2012 and go South Korean during 2012

It will be world expo in Korea on 2012 as well

World Expo 2012 Korea

Rm3k - Rm4k for two people..

You can go to HK, Bali, Taiwan providing u can get return flights + hotel for two pax at RM2000 then you still got RM2k to spend for the trip..
