The 1st pg wikimapia shows the stream far from where AEIOU showed me. From his describtion it should be near Jongak station line 1 near city hall here:

OK, Today managed to change US$480 for RM1,475.80 or @3.14 at Hala Suria Ikano (opposite Uncle Lim). They also have a counter inside The Curve. Well Wawasan rate is 3/135 OK-lah..and Atria selling at 3.15

For Korean Won Today, Wawasan = 2.89 whereas, Atria is selling at 2.85 thumbup.gif , Okano at 2.87. Therefore for those wanna change to korean Won, the best is actually at Atria beside Esquire kitchen.. They don't qoute Won but you can ask them smile.gif

I think for those appreciate history, just visit the lantern sculptures area of the stream is not enough. There are few old/ancient artifacts along the stream, old bridges & etc..Probably should walk from the starting point till probably Jongno 3 station as there are few interesting ancient sites there..

Check this video on How this natural stream started, poluted in the 40-60s' Buiding of elevated highway that covered the stream from 60's to 2000 and the demolishment & rehabilitation of the stream b4 re-opening in 2005 smile.gif

From the earlier video:
Attached Image
Seems like the small stream beside this spiral shell sculture is the starting point of the stream..such an amazing project by Seoul Govt transforming one of the most polluted stream to a major environmental success. In Malaysia, Melaka Govt tried it on Melaka River but only managed to turn the river from black water to greenish water nia. sad.gif

Yeah I most probably will try walking from the last stop to the Jongno 3 station..Impossible to walk the lenght of the stream till dongdaemun haha blush.gif biggrin.gif .. But as you said depending on my legs blush.gif & also the cold weather as this Sat is forcasted to be snowing in Seoul shocking.gif

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Dec 6 2010, 01:20 AM)
Haha.. you go and walk la......I want to see your review got anything nice to see or not walking down the stream. brows.gif your legs sure beh tahan wan.

Here are some travel tips to save subway cost and legs energy. Save Cheonggyecheon stream visit to the last stop during Seoul citybus tour. Because the final bus stop is Gwanghwamun and you just need to walk across the road to

5.30pm onwards shall be dark enough for night view. Then from the stream source, walk down stream to Jongak station or further Jongno 3 station to go back to your hotel.

I think you should have take the train to Gimpo airport & switch to MRT..atleast reaching the MRT destination you will know your direction. That's why I decided on train rather than bus..Worry dunno where the bus will drop me and lost sense of direction there haha

the Arex I think also ground level except after Gimpo probably subway 9AEIOU pls clarify) Furthermore The bus trip will be doubled the amt taking train.

Yes the bus will announce the last stop but you do not really know the exact location of the stop compare to MRT where you can find easily and even some stations exit are in wikimapia. If you know your hotel, & you know the MRT exit, easier for you to know where you are upon reaching...See what happen to Bloxxxone case.. Reaching the location but dunno the location of th ehotel and no choice have to take taxi whereas the hotel is just at the corner. smile.gif That's what worry me.. smile.gif
QUOTE(nyemah_mulya @ Dec 7 2010, 11:58 AM)
The airport bus does announce each station's name right? We want to see Seoul throughout the journey from the airport that's why we are considering bus of taxi.

I can see my hotel long time liao biggrin.gif but what I mean overall google maps of Seoul all in hangul..if surrounding my area & those famous locations I can use the maps but further/ like going to Suwon fortress & etc susah liao wor.. sad.gif ..Anyway, try printing all those exit later haha

Actually I am thinking of walking from hotel to Gwanhwamun MRT blush.gif saving the 1900/pax on traveling cost blush.gif ..But walking under freezing condition..will be any challenge hmm.gif biggrin.gif
QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Dec 7 2010, 03:26 PM)
Aigoo..... you only need to see the station, exit no. and the road map ma. why need to understand the language leh ? hmm.gif

Your hotel is here right in the middle of 2 stations

As the matter of fact, after you walk down the Cheonggyecheon Stream at Gwanggyo bridge (near Jonggak), you can turn right and walk 1.1km only back to your Hotel.

QUOTE(nyemah_mulya @ Dec 7 2010, 06:38 PM)
KTO's map is in English, but you can't add a placemark to it like Google Maps. What I do is compare between those two and put my placemarks on the Google Map.
