If you want to go, Start looking for their Tour agent as you need to fly there. and atleast allocated 2D1n there. smile.gif From those came back, It's abit boring there but I do luv the Volcanic & high Cliff sceneries there sad.gif ..Normally those going to jeju needs atleast 7-8 days..Unless you can cancel 2-3 days of Seoul itineraries?
QUOTE(childish_gal81 @ Dec 10 2010, 09:30 PM)
Thanks a lot for the tips..so not adviceable to go jeju right?

QUOTE(b00n @ Dec 10 2010, 10:23 PM)

Uncle, I suggest u scrap lotte world and visit everland instead. Can spend the whole day there. Mine busted because towards the evening, rain for like almost 2 hrs. But overall, still a well spent day; taking the rides and sightseeing, not to mention photo shooting. Night time photo shoots is nice because of the Christmas deco. But how unlucky to miss 3 shows including the finale - firework because of the rain.

Touched down at Seoul Y'day nite @ 9.10pm Seoul time /8:10pm M'sian time.

Airport Money echange all qputed at 1103W for US$ . Should hv changed Y'day bcos, I was walking like hell searching everywhere ~ Dongdaemun only to find one inside Doota! -- @ 1100! Cisss..

Due to the long que at immigration, Cleared ~ 10:15pm & by the time took the AREX train already 11PM..This is a big mistake. By the time reaching Gimpo @ 11:30PM, I was told all MRT no longer available!! Walked far to The Gimpo Arrival hall & no one there so darkkkk...Walk out to the terminal..and feel the 1st sub-zero freezing -9C...damn coldd...Well no choice hv to take the taxi & yes they also dunwan to use meter..sigh..bcos almost Midnite..No choice negotiated to 30,000 won...So for those haven't taken the 10PM train to Gimpo, better go for bus dy...

Today..Walked to Gwanhwamun --Yeah!! 1.2Km from Hotel & visited Deogsugong & thereafter walked to Geogdukgung b4 going to Cheonggecheon stream..Thereafter took the Seoul city bus round-round Seoul to N-Tower (8,000won discounted to..dunno how much liao..), Hanok Korean Village (FOC), Dong Daemun b4 back to Hotel...No Wifi here...but only 2 desktop..The speed...damn...U chklah:

Or BTW, the speed surfing Lowyat so-so only..Now I know why:

Added on December 12, 2010, 10:38 pmCurrently Seoul weather is at 0C and during Morning to Afternoon ~ -6 to -10.. Down jacket is sufficient without any long john for this. However, I regretted not getting the leather Glove...My finger & hand is not well protected! even wth the normal Nylon and polyster thermal glove abit useless..Most of the time hv to put my hand inside the down jacket!! ..So get a better glove!! Scarf is important too to cover your mouth & also ear if you dunwan to use the down jacket head gear.

Or yeah..but long john pant is important bcos I feel my leg not really protected from the cold wind wth my lousy non wool sock. Howver not so bad-lah..If can tahan abit Ok-liao. biggrin.gif

Remember...The finger , ear & mouth area...must be well protected too..otherwise... You will not be enjoying the winter there.. smile.gif

It's called Buff http://www.buff.es/es/ESP. Always wanted to buy that. They sell it in an optical shop called Peak Vision (3rd floor) Garden's Midvalley. It costs around RM80 and above. You can wear it many ways - on your head, scarves, even tube top (if you're a petite). Hmm...now's a good time to buy hmm.gif

All the duty free shops closed at 9:30pm as well as the satelite terminal Dutues free but on the arrival hall (level1).. There are 24hours KFC & Mc D too..No problem provided you don't enter satelite terminal too early. I took my dinner at Mc D- The Bulgogi burger is the best McD I tried so far around Asia haha rclxms.gif

oooooHHHhhh... N8 pic so nice and so wide!
Anyway don't like the idea the shops closes so sharp at 9pm and 9.30pm inside the terminal. I'm ok with duty free shop closing at 9pm at the airport, but not food.  sweat.gif
So an advise to all taking AA flight, have dinner if you foresee you wouldn't be reaching the airport at 8pm.

Haha..I found out only after looking for the best rate to change bck all my Won to US$. The 24hrs KFC & McD is at the centre ground floor (For them level1) or arrival hall

So I need to update 1st pg soon informing others going to Incheon to eat at arrival hall McD or KFC. Furthermore there is NO airport pricing! The McD, KFC, Family Mart GS25 and even Etude/ cosmestic pricing is exactly the same price offered as Seoul...Damn to M'sian airport for the airport pricing mad.gif ...I missed the McD bulgogi burger..it's better than their own lotteria burger (Lousy)

Oh, on your latest food pict..Yeah my 27,000 won dinner at Myeongdong is Chicken galbi...I wrongly choose the most expensive set! at 9,000X3 aigooooo doh.gif Should hv choose the cheapest at 4500won X3 doh.gif Here the picture of my cjicken galbi..the chicken tasted abit like our sate! Anyway, something unique..They cook for you just like teppanyaki..Should try but choose chicken galbi fried rice which is cheaper ~ 5000 won per pax

Soon editing my digicam photos soon...just came back from Bkt bintang changing bck my US$ to RM..Good price at BB Plaza entrance money changer - 3.142.. thumbup.gif Wawasa = 3.135. Also developing cheap photos at BTS ~ RM0.30/pc & watching TRON at the newly opened GSC MAXX IMAX cinema - Darmn not fuly 3D- 50% 2D & 3D!! mad.gif

QUOTE(b00n @ Dec 16 2010, 02:49 PM)
arrrghh.... we didn't know. cry.gif
We saw the shop closing so we were hoping inside the satellite building won't close that early. And we are right, it haven't close. So we spent some time looking at stuffs in the duty free shop thinking we are safe. Mana tau, they close 30mins later than those outside (close at 9.30pm), and we freaked running here and there looking for food to no avail, then finally settling for sandwiches near the escalator to terminal 110 which is the only one open. sweat.gif

OK since you're on budget similar to most of ppl here..My recent trip of 6D4N can be used as guideline. I EXCLUDE hotels & air ticket bcos already paid in advance. You can prebook hotels using the link on 1st page (innotel, hostelworld or agoda)

Wth the AAX tickets & hotel excluded, I changed ~RM2170 cash into Won (well to USD 1st thereafter won). Yesterday, I changed back the whole US$218 available and got back RM680 rclxms.gif So total spending only ~RM1500 rclxm9.gif AND this was for 3 persons!! smile.gif (Avg exchange rate at 2.85)

Rough idea of how I spent my RM1300 there (for 3 pax)"

- T-Money 33,000w X3 but got back 3600w X3 at the end of the day. (~RM260)
- Daily food for 3 X3 (Brunch & dinner - some meal simple convenience shop kimbap & drinks blush.gif ) ~ 12,000w X2 X3 X 4 nites (~RM820)
- Souvenir, entrance tickets, Taxi & etc ~180,000won (RM520)

QUOTE
South Korea stages biggest-ever evacuation drill amid rising tensions

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA—South Koreans stopped their cars, donned gas masks and ducked into underground shelters Wednesday in the country’s biggest-ever evacuation drill — a government attempt to prepare traditionally indifferent citizens for possible new attacks by North Korea.

Fears of war on the divided Korean Peninsula have intensified since the rivals fired artillery shells at each other last month across their tense western sea border. Four South Koreans on a front-line island were killed; the North’s casualties are unknown.

Many South Koreans have become used to regular North Korean threats to turn the South into a “sea of fire” and have reacted coolly to civil drills in the past. There has been widespread anger and shock, however, over the North’s Nov. 23 artillery bombardment of South Korea’s Yeonpyeong Island.

It was North Korea’s first assault targeting a civilian area since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War. Both Koreas accuse each other of staging the first provocation. The North claims that South Korea fired artillery toward its territorial waters, while South Korea says it launched shells southward, not toward North Korea, as part of routine exercises.

The nationwide 20-minute evacuation drills Wednesday were the largest since the country began the training in 1975.

In frigid temperatures, air raid sirens blared. Government officials and company employees stopped work and evacuated to underground shelters in basements, subway stations and parking lots. Housewives were asked to turn off the gas in their kitchens.

No need to buy the blank T-Money-lah. Just buy from any convenient stores after arriving. There is one on the right hand side of the arrival gate or opposite the Info counter at arrival hall
I intend to keep the TMopney cards as souvenir haha
QUOTE(joey_liong22 @ Dec 17 2010, 11:22 AM)
I think Ah Boon And Ah mix should have it but it may not worth the COD trip for both seller and buyer because the cost of one T-money blank card is only RM7.20 in Korea unless delivered by cheapest 60sen snail mail.

I'm fine with any post method..  Anyone wanna sell the Tmoney blank card..PM me,pls...
I need 2 cards and reach me before 05th Jan 2011.. Thanks..

Added on December 17, 2010, 5:24 pmLanguarge really a problem but surrounding Seoul esp tourist spots such as MyeongDong...Most of the shop assistants are actually chinese migrants & most of them speak mandarin & even the hotel recedptionists (Namsan Park hotel) speak Mandarin., I find very easy esp communicating using mandarin instead of English in Seoul smile.gif

And the numerical counting also sound chinese so no problem...1=il, 2=yi, 3= sam, 4= sa, 5= Oh, 6= yuk, 7= chil, 8=phil, 9= gu & 10= sip. thousand =cheon, 10K = man

So very easy to understand their quoted pricing..for eg, 12,000 won Sip man yi cheon won, 40,000won = sa man won & etc.
