OK since you're on budget similar to most of ppl here..My recent trip of 6D4N can be used as guideline. I EXCLUDE hotels & air ticket bcos already paid in advance. You can prebook hotels using the link on 1st page (innotel, hostelworld or agoda)

Wth the AAX tickets & hotel excluded, I changed ~RM2170 cash into Won (well to USD 1st thereafter won). Yesterday, I changed back the whole US$218 available and got back RM680 rclxms.gif So total spending only ~RM1500 rclxm9.gif AND this was for 3 persons!! smile.gif (Avg exchange rate at 2.85)

Rough idea of how I spent my RM1300 there (for 3 pax)"

- T-Money 33,000w X3 but got back 3600w X3 at the end of the day. (~RM260)
- Daily food for 3 X3 (Brunch & dinner - some meal simple convenience shop kimbap & drinks blush.gif ) ~ 12,000w X2 X3 X 4 nites (~RM820)
- Souvenir, entrance tickets, Taxi & etc ~180,000won (RM520)

QUOTE
South Korea stages biggest-ever evacuation drill amid rising tensions

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA—South Koreans stopped their cars, donned gas masks and ducked into underground shelters Wednesday in the country’s biggest-ever evacuation drill — a government attempt to prepare traditionally indifferent citizens for possible new attacks by North Korea.

Fears of war on the divided Korean Peninsula have intensified since the rivals fired artillery shells at each other last month across their tense western sea border. Four South Koreans on a front-line island were killed; the North’s casualties are unknown.

Many South Koreans have become used to regular North Korean threats to turn the South into a “sea of fire” and have reacted coolly to civil drills in the past. There has been widespread anger and shock, however, over the North’s Nov. 23 artillery bombardment of South Korea’s Yeonpyeong Island.

It was North Korea’s first assault targeting a civilian area since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War. Both Koreas accuse each other of staging the first provocation. The North claims that South Korea fired artillery toward its territorial waters, while South Korea says it launched shells southward, not toward North Korea, as part of routine exercises.

The nationwide 20-minute evacuation drills Wednesday were the largest since the country began the training in 1975.

In frigid temperatures, air raid sirens blared. Government officials and company employees stopped work and evacuated to underground shelters in basements, subway stations and parking lots. Housewives were asked to turn off the gas in their kitchens.

I think Ah Boon And Ah mix should have it but it may not worth the COD trip for both seller and buyer because the cost of one T-money blank card is only RM7.20 in Korea unless delivered by cheapest 60sen snail mail.

I'm fine with any post method.. Anyone wanna sell the Tmoney blank card..PM me,pls...
I need 2 cards and reach me before 05th Jan 2011.. Thanks..

@sfwong1, you didn't get zstan's meaning. Wait till you are in Korea and you'll understand what we are talking about. Many pwetty ladies around... drool.gif

@uncle, my friend says channel 19. Me however too tired to even on the TV. Everyday we go out early and return late.
And yeah, saw the mag talking about phone using GSM and also GPS ok as signal wave is weaker. But what GPS are you using on the plane?

No need to buy the blank T-Money-lah. Just buy from any convenient stores after arriving. There is one on the right hand side of the arrival gate or opposite the Info counter at arrival hall
I intend to keep the TMopney cards as souvenir haha

Added on December 17, 2010, 5:24 pmLanguarge really a problem but surrounding Seoul esp tourist spots such as MyeongDong...Most of the shop assistants are actually chinese migrants & most of them speak mandarin & even the hotel recedptionists (Namsan Park hotel) speak Mandarin., I find very easy esp communicating using mandarin instead of English in Seoul smile.gif

And the numerical counting also sound chinese so no problem...1=il, 2=yi, 3= sam, 4= sa, 5= Oh, 6= yuk, 7= chil, 8=phil, 9= gu & 10= sip. thousand =cheon, 10K = man

So very easy to understand their quoted pricing..for eg, 12,000 won Sip man yi cheon won, 40,000won = sa man won & etc.

US$ I changed it at Ikano. I din change at Incheon for the won thinking I can get better rate ~ Namdaemun. But nxt day was last Sunday & I almost used up all my small won I got it from AEIOU earlier..Searching like hell ~ Dondaemun gate & no money changers open! I tried witdrawing using Maybank ATM at Std Chartered but failed.

Asked the shop owner where is the nearest money changer & they told me inside Doota Mall. Lousy rate there worst than Airport!! So if you desperate, just change at Incheong can dy..shop around the 4-5 money changers there for the best - Hana not bad

For sure-lah..but not much. unless you can get a better rate downtown of in downtown banks rather than airport. There were few memb ers here manage to get ~ 2.78 by doing this way. Wawasan is ~ 2.90 at that point of time.
