well yesterday night gaming was good as i can identify the keys in dark faster with the contrast.

but in all seriousness, you have to understand that dadude is always like that. he speaks out his opinion very bluntly. he doesn't hate you, just your choice of keycaps layout 

my guess is that, people wants to be different from others. that's why this plastic business is damn serious.
that's probably one of the way he use to "show off" his keyboard or to give his keyboard a personality, since DAS keyboard can't do much appearance alterations except changing keycaps colour.

anyway, as -hzu- says, if you like it, ignore the bad comments from other people and stick with it. beauty lies to the eyes of the beholder.

I would prefer RGB since there will be options for how the lighting can be configured for the keys. Just white is fine too. Again, it won't be a deal breaker. Just hope the wait won't be too long. Brown switch is the way for me as it will be a mix of work and play. Don't like the clicky Blue, Red feels too "heavy", Romer-G feels, don't know how to describe it better, unreal. Don't recall how a Topre feels but generally Topre switches are 45g, which would be great for work I suppose.
Interesting article. Vindicates my choice for going with Brown. Form factor wise, would love a 60% but I use the F-keys regularly for work and play so, TKL for me! No overly funky design either. Plain and simple suits me fine.

i was surprised that more people liked the brown than the red for gaming (personally i prefer brown general and gaming, but i didn't think majority of others did too    )

The price i not so sure yet, coz i ask my cousin help me buy off taobao for me, not yet know the final price, but estimated it to be around <RM250 shipped.

After going through a couple dozen CtrlAlt GB pages in GH, I realised something else - Cody and Bunny love to bounce the ball back and forth.

Bunny: "Your item should be with Cody, but he is busy, I will ask him later."
Cody: "Bunny knows more about your order, I am not sure, I'll get him to update you."

This is a great tactic for buying time, as it allays customers' anxieties (hey, at least ONE of the bosses replied me) and gets them to ease off for a few more days.

I used to know a company that did this thing all the time.

Boss #1 (on the phone to supplier): "Your payment cheque with boss #2, but he is overseas now, don't worry I will rush him for you."
Boss #2 (on the phone to customer): "Your order is being handled by boss #1, he is currently on leave, it will be completed when he gets back."

Padahal both bosses are sitting side by side in the same office.

We called this tactic "Singgam Linggam". I try to avoid companies that set up two key men to play Singgam Linggam. It's better to deal with faceless entities where your support ticket can be answered interchangeably (e.g. Massdrop), or with companies where one guy is answerable to everything (e.g. Pexon).

haha, i believe those who really look at the GB closely will see more or less the same thing as you did.

well, I'm not sure what is your definition of a great brand is, nor what is deemed as a great product by your standard, but I think not all brands are stagnant in their product development, there are those that makes mistakes, but willing to refine and fix those mistake to bring better products to the market 

Also, I'm not buying this at random, after getting recommendation to get this board, I did my fair share of researches on it and found that its offering vs price point is worth giving a try and thus decide to buy it 
This is what I saw in most /r/mechanicalkeyboard forums and reviews, they suspect recent batches of mx blues are having production issue either due to cost cutting or QC problem.
With all that said, it makes me ever more curious to find out myself 
Actually I do not know what other boards are currently offering Gateron switches, I only knew MagicForce 68 (from davey.havok's review), Varmilo, and Rantopad MXX courtesy of a member in the fb mechanical keyboard club.

With the availablity of boards made by computer peripherals company, and some with a friendly price tag like the rantopad, i think it is cheaper to get ready made board unless you intend to have your own one-and-only board, then it is a different story
