wanna ask you guys opinion about long wallets

recently I'm considering getting a new wallet, and I've been looking at long wallets. mainly because I feel its more practical in terms of storage, can hold shit loads of cards, cash, and also have space for coins

however my concern is the fact that you have to hold it all the time, and this may not be ideal when it comes to safety and convenience. long time user of long wallets, any opinions?

Hi,

Does anyone use/used Bellroy Card Pocket? I would like to gain some user insights regarding its carrying capabilities when holding coins, 8-12 cards and some cash all at once

Besides, for those who have experience in this wallet, do you prefer bi-folding or tri-folding your cash?

Bi-folds breaks your cards.

I never used a tri-fold before.

Seems very troublesome.

If you really want to load 12 cards, long wallet is the way to go laugh.gif

Thanks for the reply

What I'm directing was the ways of folding your paper cash specifically on Bellroy Card Pocket. I asked this in order to evaluate whether our paper currency can be taken out from this particular wallet comparably easy (bi fold wallets are out of the question as I currently own one and I know how seamless is it to take out cash)

its official website has written that it can store "4-15+ cards", but I still need user insights whether they can store 8-12 cards, some coins and cash, all at once

Been using long wallet since I was in secondary school 15 years ago, and back during those days i just simply tuck it in my back pocket
A lot of people thought that my wallet is gonna fall because of its size laugh.gif

Now I am using a sling bag/clutch everywhere I go, so I just put it inside there
Never hold the wallet all the time, not very convenient, some more the handful amount of things that we carry nowadays
However my phone is quite small, can fit inside the wallet, so if i want to make a quick run to nearby shop/mamak i will just carry the wallet

I’m planning to buy a wallet for myself. Currently I’m eyeing between LV and Prada

LV multi wallet Taiga
https://ap.louisvuitton.com/eng-sg/products...-nvprod1420109v

Prada Saffiano leather

https://www.prada.com/ww/en/men/accessories..._C5S_F0G52.html

Which brand will be more durable and easier to take care? I do not like bulky wallet, prefer simple style. I see LV costs RM2.7k but price not listed for Prada.

Any advice between these 2?

LV. Pradas just don't last as long from personal experience.

If you have yet to purchase, please consider Bottega in your list.

Or if you don’t mind the hassle of importing it in, a Goyard.

Yeap. I reached out to their CS before for remote purchase.

It came from singapore.

A quick google test yielded this :-

Located in: Ngee Ann City
Address: 391B, 01-11 Orchard Rd, Takashimaya S.C, Singapore 238872
Hours:
Closed ⋅ Opens 10AM
Phone: +65 6235 0685

Goyard has one of the more unique color choices and if you can wait, customization as well.

It's pretty much more worth it in my eyes compared to getting a LV or etc laugh.gif

I think it’s a bit unfair to compare prices because I bought mine like 2-3 years ago but as I recalled, the difference is rather small.

You don’t get to claim tax refund thou if I am not mistaken.

As for custom, see luck? Might or might not be taxed.

I don’t recalled getting taxed for my purchases

I'm looking to get a new cardholder, been choosing between BV and Prada - but seems like BV has only a handful of retail outlets here in Klang Valley.

Thinking if I should get them from Mr Porter instead, but not sure if there's a big difference in terms of local pricing vs online (foreign) pricing.

Prices are almost the same give or take currency conversion.

Mr. Porter does not have free shipping anymore, but taxes are prepaid in advance to avoid shock.

If you're not looking for something out of the ordinary, get it locally instead.

You get to see the items before committing.

And honestly, no Prada please. BV is much better in my personal opinion.

And it's only worth to get items online if during sales, coz you'd save up a significant amount compared to normal price season.

Thanks for the heads up, will probably head over Pavilion next weekend, hopefully there’s still festive sales now.

Try to check out the off season items, they are usually discounted.

Other than that, full price normally.
