QUOTE(leekk8 @ Aug 9 2007, 10:28 AM) Actually, there is no difference. The low price is to attract more investors. A new fund with NAV RM0.25 and NAV RM0.50, actually are same. That is what I think so too, but my agent tries to brain wash me whenever there is a new fund, saying it is cheap. Worth the buy, where the fact it is actually the sameWhen invest, don't look at the price. Look at the investment policy and strategies, are them suitable for you or not. Invest based on your risk appetite but not purely looking at the price. The agent also say, new fund will not drop so much compared to old fund. I have to disagree. Take PCSF as example |

QUOTE(shih @ Aug 10 2007, 02:49 PM) I bank in in Public Bank last time. Now have PBebank, so top up using online banking too. My objective of my UT funds are meant for future (retirement, big house, big car, etc). At least 20 years to go 3k also very much for me. I think my initial starting pay for 2 years also not that much. Added on August 10, 2007, 2:52 pm Btw, what is your investment objective for your UTs? Just want to let your money work for you? or retirement plan or children education plan? Whenever I buy UT, I tell myself that the money is considered spent and can't be taken back (force saving). I will keep it there for long term (I do monitoring and switching whenever necessary) |

QUOTE(shih @ Aug 10 2007, 03:30 PM) Ok, I wish when I am 28, I will be able to have a good 'working' financial plan for myself. I only realized about the importance of financial knowledge since 26. How I wish I knew it earlierNow need to work hard to earn money. Really spent my younger days as a big spender |

QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 10 2007, 10:35 PM) If you top up after 4pm on Thursday, it'll be considered as next day transaction and therefore, the unit price will be as if you're topping up on Friday. Or you can go to any Public Mutual branch to get this printed. They require your ICI topped up using PBebank (Internet banking). Therefore no statement from the bank but it should be reflected in the PB account statement if you update your passbook. I'm referring if you're maintaining an account with PB and you topup from your PB account. Not using the 3rd party payee form. But still, you're receive a letter from PM regarding this topup or AI. On top of that, you'll also receive interim statement every half; dating on how many AIs you have done. In order to know your fund details such SRR and average unit price, this statement you need to get it from your servicing agent. Demand for a monthly statement or update from him/her. |

QUOTE(ejleemy @ Aug 11 2007, 12:22 PM) Your agent has the system that can access to your portfolio... just ring your agent up for any enquiry. Easiest way. Ah, sux! I think I have to change agent soon. If it not because I know him well, else I wouldn't have given him all those commission for no service |

QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 11 2007, 01:53 PM) You always go to the PM branch to print your funds' statement? Yes, I make my own visit to PM branch to print statement, etc. That is why in future I hope PM can provide us an online facilityYour agent didn't send the statements to you via email? My agent didn't send me anything, won't call to tell me when my fund is at peak and time to switch, doesn't give me any reports, doesn't plan anything for me, etc I will only receive call from him when there is new fund and he wants me to buy. Which I will usually survey first before doing With that said, he is my good friend that is why I'm helping him. But my limits are reaching soon. I will tell him either service me or else |

It's like took 4 months to be at the top, and 3 weeks to drop back to 4 months ago. Very dangerous
