The 15% is the potential return, if the market condition is favourable and meet the condition of the structured product then it will give 15% pa return rate. If not might be 0% as well.

There are plenty of structured product nowadays, just some are not published as normally structured product minimum investment amount is RM250K, the lesser i had seen is Rm100k, none of it less than Rm100k as far as I know.

Looking at it (The RHB structrured as mentioned), it should be some sort like dual currency structured product. For dual currency structured (as I haven't know the RHB product yet), you pick one of the currency let say NZ, so the structured product will set the spot rate and strike rate for it. Spot rate is the currency rate under trading let say now is RM2.58 (NZ) and strike rate set is Rm2.57. So when the structured product matured, if at that day the spot rate>strike rate (higher than RM2.57), then you get the 15% p.a. but if lower then you get zero return and your Rm250k being converted to NZ at RM2.57.

Only few new funds offering this promotion. PCSF doesn't offer this during offering period.
Only PFEPRF and PIABF offer this, your SI service charge will be 5.45% if you sign for that during offering period. For other funds, the service charge is still 6.5%.

kingkong81, this fund sounds to me like another PFES. What're the differences between them?

I'm kind of interested with this new fund.

Is it wise to have most of your money to invest in mutual fund?

Not encouraged to do so and you should have some reserve money for emergency. Balanced up your investment in multple market segments and do not fully focus on one section; let's say equity.

People say you should diversify your money into different kind of investment

For me, I think UT is the best for me now

The theory is simple. If you don't need the money then should be fine. Always have emegency fund on standby too

More accurate one should be, the fund is very similar to PB ASEAN Dividend Fund.

http://www.publicmutual.com.my/page.aspx?name=PBADF

The risk level is aggressive, higher risk than most and a bit lower than PCSF. The potential growth is high but major problem is political instability and corruption IMO.

Diversify ma. Put a bit outside of Msia, a bit in bonds, a bit of cash/FD depends on your risk profile.

PFES investment market includes far-east countries

PSEASF concentrates on ASEAN countries.
The potential is there...some stats:

From 2004 - 2007 (31 Aug) , the performance of ASEAN countries as follows

Vietnam - 447.0%
Indonesia - 217.2%
Phillipines - 133.3%
Singapore - 92.3%
Malaysia - 60.5%

Some more ASEAN is between China & India...the fast emerging giants!

The profile is almost the same as PFES, but as previously mentioned, PSEASF concentrates on ASEAN region.
Performance of PFES, since launched in 2005 until now, total return is at 48.05%... nod.gif

So, i personally think this fund is a very good fund to tap into the fast growing ASEAN economy

Wow. A lot of FD there smile.gif

Btw, if you keep track of your investment in Excel. It is much easier to use the formula to generate the line above smile.gif

I'm still in the process of showing for a good equity fund. As you can see that my FD and bond constitute for more than 60%.

CIMB risk profiler will definitely put me under conservative player.
