How do I start? I'm currently doing my diploma in Mechanical (Aeronautical) Engineering, and about to finish. Thinking to further my education for a degree in the United States of America. How do I proceed from there?

Yes it's true but some have limits for non-US students. I worked and received a salary and tuition exemption during my college years. The biggest challenge for anyone to study in the US is still getting the initial F-1 student visa which requires that you show that you have enough money for the whole program up front. |

QUOTE(DayahKuComeL @ Oct 13 2011, 11:03 AM) http://www.collegeboard.com Most scholarship requires you to be a US citizen, some even require you to be a resident of a particular state. You can work with an F-1 visa (on-campus for the 1st year, off-campus 2nd year on). You can work full time during summer and winter breaks (40 hours), but only 20 hours when school is in session, trust me, you won't wanna work more than that anyway, it sucks the life out of you. For me, my part time job covers my living fees with a little bit extra which goes to tuition and vacations. It is true that Uni/college at US provide many ways of scholarship opportunity and even got work to pay for your study program there.is it true?anoyne tried before? If you are good, you can apply to need-blind schools, but the chances of someone is getting is very very very slim. You have to be the best of the best. |

Oh shit, now only I know it's virtually impossible to secure any loan from US ( esp banks ) ! Not to mention scholarship.... It needs co-signer with healthy credit history. Can anyone shed some light here ?
I only manage to fund air tix, laptop, and daily necessities only. I plan to work there only if I able to get any loan from US side, altho is prohibited. Americans dream slasheddd ! |

QUOTE(FLampard @ May 3 2012, 12:40 AM) Hi, some universities DO have spring intakes, after winter break, which is usually around january/end december. And not all decisions are by may 1st. some people use the Early Decision/Early Action program if they're sure of what school they want to go to, and you get to know whether u got in abit more early, but you can only use this for ONE school, and if you're accepted, you absolutely have to go there. |

QUOTE(Ftz.Chenizace @ Jan 16 2013, 06:49 PM) Greetings. You can try applying for other Universities but most likely it'll be very hard for you to transfer.
