Try learning tenkai palm lolz. it just takes like 20 min practice to get it right and then u gotta learn blind angle spots . practicing at the mirror or recording what u do on video works well.
Or u can do the "This,That and Other" trick can be found on youtube.
and Yea the 2 card monte works great too lol .
Hmm card tricks that doesnt need skills ...
how about the trick where u tell your audience to take a card from the deck and then ask them to remember it , put it back into deck and then tell him to visualize the card flips over. When i look for your card in the deck the card that he choose is flipped over.
*
oh that trick.. I usually don't dare to perform that trick because I learnt it when I was in kindergarten. Most of my friends who aren't magicians also know about it. lol.

QUOTE(Grajindo @ Oct 27 2008, 02:48 PM)

Oh oh I've seen the trick back when I was a small boy. David copperfield will wave his hands up and down up and down with the egg and the throws the egg behind the volunteer while his assistant catches the egg. It's quite hilarious.

QUOTE(hackwire @ Oct 29 2008, 09:11 AM)
sometimes i don't really like to buy from local dealer because they didn't give complete stuff like DVD tutorial.
There's also fake and imitation products in the market , now i started to purchase from overseas.
*
Well I would say Magic Garage and Themagicstreet seem to be selling only genuine products so far. Those shops and stalls however you need to be careful. =)

summit and sunway. summit one is quite bad because they usually have the imitation one from other countries. Sunway, also have imitation and don't includes  DVD for training. Usually US site describe what is in the package like manual or DVD tutorial.

I know magic garage stuff is genuine but the product is so similar to one of the USA sites.
What makes them so different from importing directly from US as compare to DIY?
I like to know more about it openly.
*
Well the biggest different is that you will not have to get headache over the kastam issue. Sometimes they'll hold your items at the main office and you might have to go retrieve it yourself. And if unlucky they will impose tax over it. sweat.gif

hahaha biggrin.gif How's your bulk order going ? maybe wanna get some stuff.... brows.gif how's holy grail ?
*
Closed alrd. No one wanna buy stuff. lol.. Actually got 1 but he last minute ffk. Oh well.. I bought my own stuff already. A few trick decks and magician's wax. I'm considering to buy one brick of bicycle or tally ho decks if I can find people to share with me. It'll be cheaper.
Holy grail's quite interesting. Of all gimmicks I never thought that it's so so simple. I wanted to bang my head on the wall for not being able to figure it out because the materials used to make the gimmick I've already known about it in primary school when I read the bookworm magic book. There's another version of tnr where you cut a paper and it magically binds back together.

QUOTE(Grajindo @ Oct 29 2008, 11:04 PM)
i think they will still read insturction la...haha.. btw, maybe we can be custom too next time? got many free tutorial and stuff to play around...lolz.. sweat.gif
*
ya ya good idea.. got extra 'income' also. =.=" Then like you said, can play with magician's ordered stuff. lol

If you're bold enough (and daring), you can do the coin through soda can. The one performed by WH and crissangel. Get a new can of soft drink then go 'you know.. maybe I'll spend RM1.80 entertaining you guys... I've found out something interesting about these cans. That is (you take out a coin) if you bang the coin hard enough at the bottom....(continue with trick)'

magic garage price is very reasonable if all the handling and tax ? is there tax for magic?
*
i don't know how our kastam impose tax but sometimes they do. yes their price is quite reasonable based on the fact that they have to order, ship, bla bla bla.

lolz.. i dono what you mean by poker tricks.. but you can try out card sharp...LOLZ....
*
The problem with themagicstreet for me is that themagicstreet is based all the way in Johor. Magic garage has a stall in ampcorp so if there's any major issues can meet up with their stuff easily.

Hi

Know any magician that perform for wedding dinner?
Venue Park Royal Hotel
Around 250 pax
March 2009
Please pm me their contacts
and normally how much should i budget for this?
I already hired live band, dont want to spend too much...
Thank you !!!
*
Magician ah...? Depending on what type of magic you want him/her to perform.. if just normal simple close up he may charge you +/-RM200 or so.. (not including accommodation and food).. if stage magic might cost more.. props are kinda expensive and some can only be used once and need to be discarded.

If Lee Asher perform for dinner I think he might be asking USD1.2k alrd lor.. not MYR. brows.gif
I've been watching lu chen's magic on the taiwan shows lately. Although some of the tricks he performs are simple.. he just makes it...so...magical.. very good showmanship. Unlike me. hmm.gif

Your best bet is to buy from online store. Buying it from a physical store would cost double the price. Or triple at times. Really not worth it. But if you're interested... 1U new wing there's a magic-i stall. Sunway Pyramid also have a magic-i stall.

It does requires a gimmick. i've read the review.. some people mentioned that it's very visual if you can pull it off nicely... From the looks of it I'm guessing the top of the deck is gimmicked. Then again I might be wrong. I'm a poor analyst =.="

Yeah I've read a lot of reviews saying that it's not practical and sometimes the trick is easily exposed. (it's like performing Fallen by Daniel Garcia... horrible angle.. horrible method.. )
