QUOTE(cenkudu @ Dec 24 2015, 10:32 AM) bro, i definitely want to cancel. my question is that, should I redeem the 10k bonus points and then call to cancel? as they give me the points before i pay the AF. but afraid if there is catch here When they convert my card to Citi choice card. They removed my 10,000 rewards point already. But the RM600 + RM36 GST still there. Need to call them to remove the RM636

QUOTE(wts6819 @ Dec 28 2015, 11:40 AM) Is there no other way to waive Annual Fee (RM600+RM36) this year? I'm using Citibank Platinum. Usage approx. 25k-40k per year. Yet they said they only can waive half of it. Grrr.... All the best, no harm trying even the successful rate could be less than 1%

QUOTE(Chinus @ Dec 28 2015, 04:51 PM) If it is me i will straight cancel it. I tried to nego but immediately being panalized to downgraded from premier miles to choice card (silver status). I will keep the choice card for a while since I still have some instalment purchases. Will cancel it once the instalment finished. Will not use the card for any retail purchases.

QUOTE(Shadowguardian @ Dec 30 2015, 03:02 AM) Called today and asked for waiver of annual fee for my Citibank Premier miles. Was offered half waiver + 10,000premier miles. Considering the conversion to actual miles, it is so not worth it. Requested the CS to change into a different card but she hesitated. Pushed her a bit and she became impatient. Tone of voice changed and she reluctantly said will "appeal" for fee waiver and call back within 3 working days. I hate the feeling of begging for waiver but I'm stuck on the installment plan! Sheesh!! half waiver not worth it, and it cost you 10,000 premier miles some more (equvalent to RM30K spending) you can convert to other card, your instalment plan will automatically changed to the new card.

QUOTE(intrepidity85 @ Dec 31 2015, 09:13 AM) i guess they will get u choice card if u convert.. some prefer hold, some show middle finger by terminating it for the frequent traveller, the free budget taxi rides can save u a lot of money. that is the only benefit the premier miles card offers. i choose to re-apply after 3 months, when the cooling off period is over.

QUOTE(vez @ Dec 31 2015, 06:50 PM) you spend too much, rich citibank only have some rich customer that willing to pay AF lol means you rely on the card very much... lol Rely on credit card yes because I use it mostly for air ticket purchases, hotel accommodations, donation and monthly utilities. The thing is i paid 100% on time every month without fail for the last 8 years, that is the key issue because they can't charge me the 15% p.a. interest. Mine considered low margin biz/ customers.

Earlier I cancel my Premier miles due to the bank reluctant to waive the annual fees. I was told I can reapply after the cooling off period. So the period is 3 or 6 months ? Can apply online?

QUOTE(skincladalien @ May 20 2016, 03:19 PM) the self service annual fee is useless. called them up to waive. successfully on 2 cards, even though i only use one and second just use to order domino only i think everyone facing the same problems including me. They are in the process of getting rid of "cheap customers" who are not willing to pay the annual fees.
