Does Citibank offer 1st year Annual Fee waiver when we apply for Citibank Cash Back Platinum ? New-to-Bank customer

EDIT : just curious, how long does it take for online applicants to get approved?

Welp, my application for Cash Back CC got rejected. 

But a tiny question, if i want to apply it from kiosks, do I have a cooling period?

I applied the Citibank Cash Back Platinum, and the banker said will give me another card - Citibank Rewards Platinum Visa Card,which i was rejected at the first time, untill he say the card will be annual fee free, no point dont get

But when got home, i just check on the card and stated there:-
Annual Fee
The annual fee for Citibank Rewards Platinum Card is calculated based on the number of spending categories selected. Each category has an annual subscription fee of RM106. For every RM15,000 charged on your principal card in a year, the subscription fee for one category will be waived for the following year.

For starters, cardholders are required to choose a minimum of two categories and can enjoy two categories for free in the first year. New cardholders who spend RM2000 within 60 days from the card approval date will also receive 20,000 Rewards Points.

Which means i may cancel that two categories after one year ? cuz i dont wish to pay the annual fee

Hi, i have received both card which is cashback plat, and reward signature, i have decided let go reward signature,
may i just ignore the card and let it inactive?
or should i call citibank to cancel it

p/s: i got few card on hand which i dont really need reward card

Just sharing based on my friend experienced

My friend recently apply additional card (Citibank Reward) as he is holding Citibank clear card with 6k credit limit since 4 years ago

The officer called and said that he unable to get Citi reward card even fulfill income requirement due to current CL only 6k while Citi reward minimum CL is 15k, it cannot assign such a high credit limit from 6k to 15k, and it need to be step by step, thus the application is unsuccessful.

Is anyone has this kind of experience before ?? First time heard about this rejection.

But 4 years ago salary should be lower than the current drawing salary.

Did you friend provide other supporting documents; EPF and EA form apart from recent payslip?

I know they have min CL for certain card.
But my point is with his current salary, shouldn't he may be qualified for that card with min CL of RM 15k.
At the end of the day, both cards are sharing the same CL of RM 15k.

may i know any limit of the clear card 1 to 1 coffee bean? one purchase per day or no limit?
