Need suggestions from all sifu, currently looking for Laptop icon_question.gif

1. Brand : Any as long as reliable and can get repair parts easily
2. Budget : Below RM2000k, but can consider laptops around that price
3. Usage : Mostly watch movies, totally no gaming, downloading purpose
4. Prefer : - good battery life
- no overheat issues
- big HDD size (optional)
- lightweight (optional)
- can be use in long run

Thanks!

We may sound biased as we keep promoting the 7447. But that's the cheapest model with GTX card in the market now. Hahaha biggrin.gif

1. Preferred Brand - Any
2. Budget - RM3,000 - RM3,500
3. Usage - Word processing, light gaming (Path of Exile, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Dota 2)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15.6"
a. Minimum specs = i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, suitable graphics card.
b. Extra feature: Thin and light, good build quality.

Am considering an ASUS K501LX with the i5 in it, but have no idea if there is a spare M.2 mSata slot in it like the international models. Could anyone kindly advise? Would this void warranty? (I do not plan on using the drive that comes with the laptop, will remove it in favour of a conventional 2.5" SSD Drive)

1. Preferred Brand - Not particularly inclined on HP/Asus coz my last HP died on me/Asus well known for bad after sales in M'sia. Opens to suggestions if the product is good.

2. Budget - RM 3,000 for now. Unwilling to part more currently but if the argument is convincing enough, I'll consider.

3. Usage - Desk diving ( Excel, words, specialized software for accounting / related ), Entertainment ( Spotify, movies & related ) and mild gaming ( Rarely, but would prefer it to be capable to game, but least of my importance since I don't have time. )

4. Preferred -

a. Lightweight and sturdy built ( Move around a lot )
b. 14 inches preferred as 15 inches are usually larger and heavier.
c. Decent screen and backlit keyboard is a must. Don't care bout speakers as I am plugged into my headphones all the time.

Will add when I can remember.
