The 1/350 Shimakaze from other company (this one is snap fit as well) : http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-SCL2-50193 Then again MF added the Shimakaze figurine haha

Anyway returning back to mecha model kit.. might getting the kit as well since the scale matched my Metal Gear REX

when it is expensive either to cover back the licensing right cost

ah that one because Max Factory/GSC did gain Kancolle major licensing right so making merchandise is seem to be easy and cheap

I dont really knowledgeable about this thing but I heard the licensing right can be limited
can only make merchandise of certain characters and not whole series

like for example Kotobukiya only make 1 mecha plamo from Captain Earth series, where are another 2 main mecha?
licensing issue?

No. But take a lot of sweat, swear and blood (yes, accidentally cut my finger) when putting them on.

Using mr. mark setter do help, it extend the time before it sticks, can slowly adjust until satisfied.

Not really that hard, try doing on the collar first as it is the easiest.

I also thought panel line and minor touch up and top coat is straight build... Maybe I'm wrong

Yeah, got frosting a bit, got too impatient when doing top coat...

not actually... theres more effort and tools used there than just cutter n snap fitting it...

try not too rush things... top coat on real shine and sunny day... abit of moisture of cold in the air can ruin the end result...

what is the cause of frosting? So far i had been using semi gloss and flat for some occasion, kinda spray them all over my kits multiple times, but never encounter the frosting issue, the only time i have a problem is the time i spray it too close to the rifle and it form a gel like layer on the tips of the rifle, but manage to sand it away after it dry and recoat

Just like nawar said, cold weather + high humidity. Well, lesson learnt (the hard way).

With his pals.

I usually work during night hours, there's once i did it at midnight when it's a lil colder than usual
just a question, does it consider a frosting if my color turn slightly greyish or is it normal since it's semi gloss
how cold is consider cold, i assume my temporature at night should be roughly 24-26?
i snap a photo for u guys to judge since i been wondering about the frosting issue as i only start using coating for 5 kits so far

frosting will likely happen on flat coat... the effect looks like iceing up...
look at the palms/hand and weapon on the Hi Nu of spiroth picture...
