how about Nikon D3 vs 902? smile.gif

does that makes sense to u all overjoying new 902 users to compare everything to DSLR? please, dont make this thread a laughing stock to other Imobile 902 users around the world. thank you.
*
Mate, chill chill.

Firstly, I do agree that 902 can never beat DSLR no matter what. Reason as below.
1. DSLR can set exposure time, 902 can't
2. DSLR can set aperture, 902 can't
3. DSLR can optical zoom, 902 can't
4. DSLR can boast ISO to ISO 800 or ISO 1600 without any problem but 902 can hardly boast the ISO over ISO 50 unless manually change it.
5. DSLR can easily change lens as long as you have cash so that the photos will be nicer but 902 is a fixed lens camera.

Secondly, I never ever want to compare with DSLR but xtorm request for it. I just fulfill his want.

And lastly, camera phone still is a camera phone. There is limitation for it. If not, everyone will be buying 902 instead of spending thousands on DSLR or other camera.

No offense but I'm just telling what I think of. xtorm want to compare it so I just give a helping hand. Hope you understand.

Till then ~

p/s : D3 is a full frame RM 13k DSLR. How to compare with RM 800++ camera phone sleep.gif

i think avenger is angry because after your posted those d40 vs 902 shots earlier on, some people commented badly about the 902 which shouldn't be the case as 902 no fight with dslr. tongue.gif
*
laugh.gif
I'm happy to own both as DSLR has no video recording option tongue.gif
This is the time 902 come up to solve the video recording when I needed it. smile.gif

QUOTE(Seaedge @ Jan 22 2008, 01:35 PM)
as i said previously, dslr vs 902 comparison is a matter of finding what is 902's stand. no doubt dslr will not lose to 902 no matter what, but there is some people curious to know whats is the differences.

you have to remember that dslr isnt a cheap thing to play with and must have the passion to learn about it. 902 is merely PnS camera that does great job and capable to replace any cheap digital cameras. i used 902 until now and i found it as useful as a DC and offer even more.

Second that tongue.gif

My friend is interested in this model. I assume there are no authorized distributors so there are only AP sets available?

If so, care to point me any direction where we might be able to purchase?
It must be from a shop, his parents are 100% against online transactions.

Are there any jitters bout the phone? How fast is the sms engine with and without T9. General speed of the UI and any buggy firmwares?
*
@ bold : I-Mobile Malaysia is distributors for this phone and it's ORIGINAL 1 year warranty by them.

SMS is superb slow. UI is slow and no buggy firmware even if there is, there isn't any update available. Not even Chinese Input firmware available.

You should say that there is a protector at the lens of the camera which can be removed after you remove the housing and peel it off smile.gif
If not, new user will be quite blur and don't really get your meaning laugh.gif

I'd suggest you take back for warranty la. Ask them to clean it for you else if you open yourself, the warrany void.

Depends on how long you want it to be.
I used to put +2 with Night mode on.
The shutter open for quite some time. Longer then 4seconds but the EXIF photo only show 4 seconds.
But there is different in the photos taken.

Have you all read last weeks star-intech? its about the Battle of the King's of Camera phone. Only include SE K850i, LG Viewty and Nokia N82, sadly 902 wasnt in.... the winner is the N82 apparently..
Can anyone show a comparison photo on N82 and 902?
Will there be a better version coming out? When?
*
I'd say night shoot for 902 is still the king of all camera phone. smile.gif
