just call UOB.. need to activate oversea usage.. if not we unable to swipe the credit card.. then i ask why.. they told me security purpose.. in the end.. they activate my oversea usage for period of time only.. Eg.. 1 sept until 10 sept 2015 to which country.. after 10 sept you not able to use/swipe from that country..

This is standard for all banks. They will ask you to confirm the country and also period. smile.gif

I would not say it is standard for all banks for the 'need to call to activate'. For most of the banks that I have experience with, it is merely a notification. To activate meaning, if we do not call in the card cannot be used at all. There is a different between these two. Having said this, I do advice people to give a call to notify the banks.

Is transaction date or posting date which is taken into account when UOB calculate the cashbacks?

Actually can use one, there is risk only. smile.gif

I used my Maybank in Tokyo and I forgot to inform them, two transactions went though and only after that they tried to call me. laugh.gif

yes, some cc don't need to activate for overseas usage. i went indonesia few years ago using ocbc cc no problem. went singapore using ocbc cc and uob cc also no problem.

and dont be surprise even when you call, sometimes still cannot go through. happened to my cimb card.

For the sake of trying again, I just bought something online for RM 35 and paid via VOX.

I have calculated as 5% of RM 35 is just RM 1.75, worth the try if it doesn't work. laugh.gif

Status Pending? You meant the in the posonline's transaction history? U need to click refresh the status button.. Does it reflect in your credit card unbilled statement already?
