Hi guys, for all the promotion by UOB, do we need to reply back by SMS(like below) to register or it will be automatically registered even we don't reply by SMS?

Eg: To Register: SMS UT1 <space> your 16-digit UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card number

Of course you need to reply back for registration.

Any advantage for pref platinum? Seems only one cRd is useful for daily expenses...

more expensive than normal sms. maybe like 20-30 sen. 50 sen also got see before...

No extra benefit. Hence less popular nowadays. That why now they give weekends cash back on grocery/dining as promotion.

any benefits on the new PRVIMILES card? just received my card today. have been using their UOB one card since 2009.

For me, it is the same card with different name. One is master card, one is Visa card. This is to attract people with different name. I am waiting my time to cancel only. The only good uob card now is Vox card, I would say. One card ok ok also.

One card is very good for petrol spending , 5% weekend.. I'm very satisfied

just found out about this good card today, very tempt to apply today to supplement my cimb cr plat & hl wise card, already maxed.
but got few questions hopefully sifu here can help answer

1. where is the monthly fee listed? couldnt find in VOX tnc, to waived the monthly fee can swipe any amount or min rm50?
let say i spend in a month only rm127 x 5% CashBack = rm6.35, will it be offset the monthly fee?

2. the CB capped rm50/month right? initially thought capped rm1000 month till i read the tnc it's rm1000 x 5%

3. listing above is only verified/tested CB place right? basically any online spend entitle for 5% local n int?

4. Listed utilities is excluded from CB but also listed and reading others comment, can get CB from online utlities payment? for all utilities i.e unifi, tnb, syabas, municipal, iwk? currently i pay my tnb,syabas at uobpayonline and unifi at m2u amex

5. lastly any promotional gift can get if apply now? see on the website nothing hehe

I own this card. Every month you need to swipe at least once to waive the monthly fee. Pretty easy, doesn't need to be online transaction, can just pump petrol rm0.01 lol. Take note it's not calendar month but "statement month", which is your monthly statement balance date to next statement balance date.

1. Just do a transaction every month once, you will be OK. Else it's RM 6 per month for AF.

2. Yes, capped at RM 50.

3. Can say so far all my online purchases are entitled for 5% but each transaction must be at least RM 50 to be eligible for cash back.

4. Yes, I have tried TNB via UOBPayOnline and UniFi for TM Portal are entitled. It seems transactions via UOBPayOnline will be eligible. Refer to first post and try at your own risk.

5. Not sure. I applied through online and no free gift.

I need some help here. Few months back I applied for PRVI card but there's no news/follow up from my/bank's end.

Then all of sudden I receive preferred platinum today. Can/How do I contact the bank to cancel this card as I did not apply for it?

better call your agent. lol. i applied mine and was told by the CS it was rejected after 1 month. Another month later, suddenly the card arrived. i suspect my agent appealed for me, that's y it was approved much later on.
