I highly recommend European Car Services in Sunway Damansara Tech Park. Why?

1. They dont simply replace parts. I saved $'000 with Ivan
2. They have pickup and drop off service from your house/office. A big bonus for me
3. Specialize in European cars (duh, the name says it all)

Ivan Lee
European Car Services
No 7 Jalan PJU 3/45, Sunway Damansara Technology Park
Tel: 03 7804 3649/50

BTW I pulled the trigger on a '11 GTI Mk6 after a loooong consideration. Test drove it on Saturday and sealed the deal.

Hello all,

Please help to vote for the best VW service centres that you've experienced.

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3799047

I'm trying to see whether there are any good service centers around.
*
Good thread madasis, i browsed through it and found it very helpful and informative. Should be pinned IMHO for future reference - or I can C&P (if i'm not violating any copyright rules) to the local VM Golf GTI forum

sound like a throttle body problem to me, check the tb condition next service
*
Nope. Doesnt sound like a problem to me.

Read this -> DSG Game

And learn how the gearbox behaves and why it behaves this way. This article should be a mandatory read for all to-be DSG owners.

They install the microphone on the top compartment near the lights then install the 9w7 under the driver's seat. Then did some code programming with vagcom and its done. I didn't stay back and watch them install cuz went out to eat my dinner. All in all, was satisfied as I don't have to use AUX to play music anymore. Using the cable is so messy and inconvenient, most importantly can answer calls through Bluetooth now
*
Did you buy the 9w7 on your own, or did the RM150 include everything (install + bluetooth unit)? If not supplied, where did you get your 9w7 from?

Guys, do any of you know what's the highest rebate for polo sedan? Is polo sedan is a good car? Does it have problem with the dry clutch? Need advises because still cannot decide between polo sedan and honda jazz.
*
The difference between a VW and the Jazz is very different in terms of brake handling. With standard specs, the most obvious difference is in the brakes and the feedback you get from your foot. Jazz = spongey and lots of travel before "biting". VW you immediately get the bite and it's progressive with lots of feel. It's like night and day, you should test drive first and feel for yourself.

My wife drives a 2015 Jazz and I drive a VW.

Any1 experience the engine vibrate when idle? Its like tak cukup minyak/ like not enuf of power n wana shut down. Its golf 6 tsi.
*
Sounds like one or more of your cylinders not firing, may require either spark plug change or your ignition coils need changing. I'm no expert and poor engine idling could be due to dirty / faulty plugs or coils.

They're low in dust, but my goodness they squeal like a little girl at low speeds.

QUOTE(w'lock @ Mar 5 2016, 11:30 PM)
Just  need some help from expert here,
My golf mk6 tsi  encounter abs/esp lt on intermittently,   sometimes it triggers just after start  other times halfway driving  [and reset itself while the car still moving].
It also can go few days without any fault so I don't think it's failure of abs module or pump  right?
I was thinking of loose connection somewhere but not really sure where to look,
Googling on vw forum overseas didn't get satisfactory info as most are hard on fault and they point to too many variables  like module,  brake press sensor,  bearing,  battery... etc.

I  can go to SC but don't want them just simply change module/pump which will cost a bomb,    TQ
*
Im not expert but in Jan same thing happened to me. The source of problem is common and the fix is quite simple if you are willing to get some grease on your hands. Rating of complexity is 1 out of 5. I had mine replaced with SC and each was RM650 new - thank God for warranty. But the bad thing was the SC took ONE full day to replace. You can do it within 40 mins.

If you dont do anything, the on-board computer is not able to accurately read your speed and anything speed related, like fuel consumption, ABS, brakes, gear change, etc will not function 100% as the car needs to know how fast each tire is turning.

Each tire has a sensor and due to brake dust, dirt etc it gets clogged easily - a common problem. All you have to do is remove it, clean and replace. Some people take off the tires, some dont even have to remove tires. Clean with what? Brake cleaner fluid loh, can buy from any A1 Hardware store, etc. Tools? A 20mm spanner (I think it's 20).

To see where this thingy is located, see this YouTube for ABS Sensor. The guy removed tire so that you can see where the sensor is located.

I bet you're going to ask, which sensor? Aiyah do all lah, 40 mins only mah.

How many Golf R specs out there?  hmm.gif car will arrive next month. Will inspect it thoroughly first before confirming.
*
For an "R" that is good price. 4WD, 280HP stock - it's a rocket that's outrun a lot of porsches and Beemers.

Does "Japan spec" means it's speed limited to conform to Japan road rules? I used to own a Japan spec car that tops 220km/h but the US/Canada version goes up to 250+.

But then again just visit any ECU guy and you're happy again.

Guys, my Passat cc wheel speed sensor gave up on me. Rm380 quoted by outside shop is reasonable?
*
It's about there. I replaced 3 units in Jan.

I posted an article somewhere here that it gets dirty and the cleaning job can be done in 15 mins DIY. no special tools required. Just jack up, clean, replace. There's even a YouTUbe video showing you how to do it

QUOTE(Jackofree @ Jun 30 2016, 04:03 PM)
so what you meant is instead of replacing it immediately, can try cleaning it?
*
Ya. All you need is to do the following:
1. Jack up your car (safely)
2. Locate the sensor. Remove the connector
3. Using a 20mm wrench, remove the retaining bolt
4. Take out sensor and clean with brake fluid (available from A-1 Hardware Stores, under Auto section)
5. Replace
6. Tighten the 20mm bolt. Replace the connector

Done. Should take between 15-30 mins job.

What happens is that the brake dust gets all over it, not to mention mud, sand, etc. All it requires is a good cleaning and you save RM380 / wheel. Unless it's really damaged all you need to do is clean it.

YouTube video here VW Golf Mk 6 ABS Sensor

In meantime, all the best and have fun. Post it here if you've done it already

really disappointed on FA Wagen services, the SAs are rude, didn't even try their best to fix my problem and simply recommend me to change my car part with sky high price. Crap them, will not return to them forever.

anyway, which service center you all visit usually with good service? preferable nearby PJ area.
*
