The funny thing is that mostly is "One Lady Owner " or "VIP"...haha.

haha. apparently people still have the perception of lady owner low mileage stock car that does not know how to service parts of the car will sell better than the guy who drives hard(healthier engine probably), having a tuned car, but always particular when it comes to maintaining

Thanks BlitzAce. I got my passat from the bangsar showroom. I spoke to my sales agent today and she services her vw at the old klang road. Since she seems happy with OKR, I asked her to set me up with her Service Advisor at OKR when my car is due for servicing. Hope everything will go smoothly and I won't be one of the horror stories 

Btw, all the 2015 passat are already sold and is now on waiting list for this promotion. There was around 1,000 passat units sold in whole of Malaysia since the clearance sale. Jetta is also selling fast but Polo is lagging.

BTW, the DSG engine is really cool in gear shift, fast and steady
but i also feel that the interval of each gear switching is too short
almost gear up every 10km/hrs increased
frankly i feel "stress" while  car in front slowing down or depressed the brake
coz the car need decreased its gear ,mayb from ger 6 to gear 2 or 1 within 10 seconds
and picking up again within next 5-10seconds @@
is it too high tension to DSG gear box?

How's your guys avoid this?

Is it advisable that we use paddle shift to gear down while we saw some cars r slowing down in front?

Coasting function ? Does passat own this?
i saw this function in owner manual book but i cant find it in setting.

actually for DSG7.... 4km/h is enough for it to upshift to D2/S2....

And i know if talking about reliability jap cars will be the best, but 70k cant get any decent jap cars that is not too old, plus i love the driving dynamic of the conti cars.. U can call me as backside itchy laa but i do reali get bored wif my souless Toyota, LOL.

As long as the car doesnt breakdown too often, or even requires to be towed always, a little bit unrealible is fine for me.

What is VIN no? I bought it on 2013 Nov. Not sure is affected unit.

Anyway I just back from service center, confirmed is mechatronic issue and they going to change it for me. Seems like I'm really the unlucky one to get affected for Golf Mk7.

just send in today, SA estimated complete by tomorrow. no courtesy car since is short replacement.

SA did mention if there is no stock for Mechatronic they might need to order from German or Singapore. He said it's not common for Mk7 to have this issue so they didn't keep stock.

Lets pray everything go smooth and it wont happen again. I believe I'm the first person we get this problem for Mk7 Golf.

Hi, after first week with my passat 1.8tsi
everything is good beside of central lock system
after i selected auto locking function, i can heard that the car lock been triggered continuously while car stop-and-go.
Mean after i drive to certain speed, the auto lock triggered and all doors locks. and vehicle stop and move again later on, u can hear and feel the car door been locked again and again.
Is it normal to VW car?

the sound come from left side passanger seats, volume not really big, but u can hear the small noise
ok, i think have to report it to SC
but the first service is 15000km
would ur guys advice me send my car to check 1st or waiting for 1st time service ?

p/s: i dint turn on the auto locking function now in order to avoid the noise

Just to share my bad experience with VW FA Wagan at Hartamas which recently opened. I had a power window issue and unable to close my window. It was raining really bad that nigh but managed to go back home with my driver seat partly wet due to the window unable to be closed.

In the morning, since it was urgent, I went to VW Hartamas which is just 2 mins near my house (I live in Mont Kiara). This was my first time there and I usually went to Sg Besi Wearnes SC and this was where I bought my car. However, the Sri Hartamas SC refused to fix the power window saying that since I never go to FA Wagan service center before, I need to show all my previous car service receipt even though I did show them my service history book (my car is 4+ years old). They said that in order to claim under warranty, I need to show all the service receipt. I obviously did not keep the receipts since this was never necessary before.

Since I was already late to work, I drove my Viva car and asked my wife who was on maternity leave to help me to send to another VW service center. She went to TTDI Cargaz Autohauz and the SC helped to fix the power window, no question asked and FOC since it was under warranty (even though this was my first time there and I only needed to show my service book). They did not have the part, but they helped to locked my window in closed position and I came to get it fixed the following week.

My cousin who went to FA Wagen Glenmarie also mentioned the same thing where they wanted to see original service receipt if you never been there before. They gladly accepted if you want to service there, but refused if you want to claim for defect.

I then lodged formal complaint with VW Malaysia. But they stopped responding to my e-mail when I asked if FA Wagen is allowed to refused service like that and if we are required to keep service receipt and if book service only is sufficioent. They did not want to formally admit that what FA Wagan did was allowed or not. And just stopped to respond to me even after I sent multiple reminders.

In summary, Cargaz SC is good while FA Wagan SC is to be boycotted.

Hey all sifu. The gti 50k km needs a major service is it? How much does it usually cost? What do they change? My car has been in the service centre for 4 months already due to piston failure and now they said they did a major service for me on top of the piston replacement which is under warranty.

Pls advice. I don't wanna get conned. Tq bros.

For battery warranty claim you may need to leave your car at least half-day for them to inspect before providing the replacement battery.
Keep an eye on your Mecha since mine gone after jump-start.
For SC, i dont have idea since from Penang.

As a fresh grad, better put your money into something else. Save for your first property perhaps? Unless you're from rich family, then it's by all means go ahead.

Hi where is recommended to do interim service at pj/kl area...how much cost to just suck out old oil and pour in new oil...

Oh....can bring own oil there? You know what oil sc using to service? I think be safe follow the oil they are using.....where the shop btw...

ya but which oil sc use do you knw? afraid later they find out the oil is not from them then void warranty...
i planning to do interim because 15 thousand km is like very long...with Malaysia hot weather and the traffic jam in kl...i afraid that the oil cant serve it purpose...

Does VW Service Center allow 3rd Party Claim for accidents ?

Heard from Balai Tun H.S Lee Traffic (Photog area) that VW will repair the car based on your own insurance first and 3rd party claim it later.. Is this true ?

Is there any channel to raise the complaint on the high maintenance cost for such entry?
