new ui and pilot flight record is in the same page of camera view home page.. take me quite sometime to find it sweat.gif last time it was on the pilot profile page..
place is to be disclose later.. would like to join if I'm available..

tips of the day:

new pilot can use the Flight simulator provided within the apps to familiarise with the control. To access the simulator, connect your aircraft (preferably without the props) and tap the ? icon is on top right.
*
Only revamp UI? No new features? Kinda disappointing.

The flight simulator on DJI Pilot is only available on IOS version, android version does not have it....
Hopefully DJI GO's flight simulator will be available on both OS.

Just wondering, is there a meetup or community gathering for the Phantom or similar drones? Thinking of seeing it in action smile.gif

Hi wKkay, DJI is planning an official event in KL this coming 26 September (Saturday). This will be a good opportunity to get hands-on experience and hear from the experts. Look out for updates on the following link:

http://event.dji.com/newpilot2015/#apply

Unofficially, we can plan to have our own gatherings (I'm thinking once we can identify 10 Phantom pilots in this group, we can start thinking about holding such meet-ups). It will be good to meet to discuss ideas and perhaps work on mini projects, and spread the awareness of unmanned aerial cameras. This will be the future of things to come - safer, cheaper, faster.

Hi guys, hope you don't mind if i join in, but i have DJI PHANTOM V1.1.1. upgraded to FPV still active and healthy doing some aerial shots. Shots taken using GoPro HERO4.  Can't afford for P3 yet but the V1 does the job well after full year of activity.

Here my blog about it and some galleys:

Not bad, but most of the new features does not help in piloting or taking video/photo.
I hope they will add the option to allow manually changing the camera aperture soon.

The standard version does not have light bridge, glonass, or VPS.
But the price is very tempting, other high end consumer drones will be very hard to compete.

I'm super happy that DJI finally includes POI, follow me and waypoints in next firmware update.
I was looking for a good 3rd party apps to enable these features, now no more headache. thumbup.gif

i bet u can upgrade with spares from advance/professional version.. they do have live view but not sure if it a lightbridge connection or a direct wifi tethering with mobile device.. connection for live view is using 2.4Ghz frequency and the RC is using 5Ghz frequency.. the remote is same as phantom 2 Vision+.. and recording 2.7k video should be on advance version not on the standard.. doh.gif recording bitrate between this two is the same at 40 Mbps which make more sense to put it on advance version..

currently there is one 3rd party apps that does all that.. but sadly its for phantom 2 vision+ and its not free.. their apps base on SDK release by DJI and free if you know how to make own apps..
