tips of the day:

new pilot can use the Flight simulator provided within the apps to familiarise with the control. To access the simulator, connect your aircraft (preferably without the props) and tap the ? icon is on top right.

you should attend the dji new pilot experience event on september if got time to experience it.. this is my first drone and i don't have prior experience on flying any drone..

After playing around under 30 meters height finally got some confidence to get it up in the air. This thing is amazing  Can't wait to go out and shoot more stuff

DJI New Pilot Experience 2015 Declaration ("Declaration")

To All Participants:

SZ DJI Technology Co.,Ltd. (“DJI”) will be launching DJI New Pilot Experience Program (“NPTP”) on above mentioned dates in 2015. All parties attending the NPTP are required to make the following declarations to protect the rights of attendees and DJI.

1. Strictly follow the pilot guidelines and rules & regulations imposed by local authorities.
2. Communicate timely with DJI if any problems occur during the flight.
3. Will bear the cost of injury or damage caused by any inappropriate operation during the flight.
4. Will agree that DJI owns the copyright of the videos and photos created by DJI reflecting NPTP or Participant individual, and will agree that the mentioned videos and photos can be used by DJI or DJI authorized Party for advertising and promoting NPTP or DJI via any media.

Just wondering, is there a meetup or community gathering for the Phantom or similar drones? Thinking of seeing it in action

Only revamp UI? No new features? Kinda disappointing.

The flight simulator on DJI Pilot is only available on IOS version, android version does not have it....
Hopefully DJI GO's flight simulator will be available on both OS.

Hi guys, hope you don't mind if i join in, but i have DJI PHANTOM V1.1.1. upgraded to FPV still active and healthy doing some aerial shots. Shots taken using GoPro HERO4.  Can't afford for P3 yet but the V1 does the job well after full year of activity.

and it looks like we're gonna get all the extra goodies like followme, waypoints, etc. noiceeee

The standard version does not have light bridge, glonass, or VPS.
But the price is very tempting, other high end consumer drones will be very hard to compete.

I'm super happy that DJI finally includes POI, follow me and waypoints in next firmware update.
I was looking for a good 3rd party apps to enable these features, now no more headache. 

The DJI New Pilot Experience event will be held in KL on 2015.09.26, participants will get the chance to fly a phantom with guidance of an instructor.
