crude... looks like a typical pattern tonight.

asian/european marts pushed it to 48.50 - strikes in french refineries, expecting api/eia data to show draw..

now, a few min before nymex open, retreat to 48...

but dow futures +90, dwti may stay high...

This time, the general market lifting up all stocks.. including commodity like crude.
Must be the better than expected housing numbers..(demand better than supply) in certain markets.

I am still skeptical about this rally.

overall, more bad news than good news but good news pushes indices much higher than bad news lower.

like crude... all the idle tankers. record opec output, iran pushing along do little damage but a small draw will fire up a rally!

something will give way... dangerous times.

U.S. crude stocks dropped by 5.1 million barrels to 536.8 million last week, data from industry group the American Petroleum Institute showed on Tuesday. That was double expectations of analysts polled by Reuters.

Gasoline stocks climbed by 3.6 million barrels, while inventories of distillate fuels, including diesel and heating oil, fell by 2.9 million barrels, the API data showed.

Investors are awaiting confirmation of the big draw when the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) issues official inventory figures on Wednesday.

somehow, i feel that crude is attempting to hit 50. if i hv not mistaken, this is the 3rd attempt.

oil should go beyond 50....possibly overshot up to 55-57?....
